Rebuilding Community after Katrina chronicles the innovative and ambitious partnership between Cornell University's City and Regional Planning department and ACORN Housing, an affiliate of what was the nation's largest low-income community organization.

For 12 years, Katrina held all the "most horrible, most expensive" titles for US hurricanes. When the monster storm slammed into Mississippi's Gulf Coast in 2005, public health physician Dr. Robert Travnicek firmly faced the disaster. In Katrina, Mississippi: Voices from Ground Zero, Dr. Travnicek and other first responders reveal what really happened during Katrina: what they did to get ready, how they managed from inside the emergency operations centers in Hancock and Harrison Counties, and the catastrophic destruction they dealt with for several years to come.

Accomplished piano vocalist, Katrina Harris has extensive experience performing around the world at five star venues for weddings, special events, and sophisticated gatherings. A Master of Music graduate from Sydney University, Katrina is in demand as a piano and vocal teacher, having taught privately and within schools for over 20 years. When she's not performing or teaching, you will find Katrina in her home studio, composing, arranging and recording original music.
