3CD box set presented with enhanced booklet. Musical visionaries Keith Emerson and Greg Lake planned to re-form ELP in 1984, however drummer Carl Palmer was unavailable. Into the frame stepped the legendary Cozy Powell, best known for his work with Rainbow and Whitesnake. Included is the band's one and only studio release: 'Emerson Lake and Powell' featuring three bonus tracks, their live album 'Live in Concert' and a CD of rehearsals, 'The Sprocket Sessions', only previously released in the 90s as a bootleg. The collection includes sleeve notes by Jerry Ewing, editor of PROG Magazine, who takes a forensic look at the band's short but impactful history. The band's self-titled studio album delivers material familiar in style to ELP with long progressive rock tracks, mellow ballads, and a classical theme ('Mars, the Bringer of War' by Gustav Holst, a piece previously performed by Lake during his tenure in King Crimson). All recordings have been re-mastered by renowned engineer Andy Pearce. This collection has been curated with the blessing of the Emerson, Lake and Powell families. If you are a fan of ELP, you cannot afford to have this part of the Emerson and Lake history missing from your collection.

Tarkus is the second studio album by English progressive rock band Emerson, Lake & Palmer, released on 14 June 1971 on Island Records. Following their debut tour across Europe during the second half of 1970, the group paused touring commitments in January 1971 to record a new album at Advision Studios in London. Greg Lake produced the album with Eddy Offord as engineer. Side one features the 20-minute conceptual title track written by keyboardist Keith Emerson, the opening of which created friction between Lake and Emerson that almost split the group, but Lake agreed to pursue it and contributed musical ideas for it and wrote the lyrics. Side two features a collection of unrelated tracks of different styles. The artwork was designed by William Neal. Tarkus went to number one on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the only album by the band to do so. It was a top 10 album worldwide, including the US, where it peaked at number 9. The album reached gold certification in the UK and US. It has been reissued and remastered several times.

A 3 CD set collecting highlights from the band's entire career. Progressive rock's first supergroup, Emerson Lake & Palmer fused together rock and classical music like no-one before. This 3CD set collects highlights from their entire career. ELP were no strangers to extended instrumental suites and longer running times. 'Take A Pebble' from their debut album ran for twelve and a half minutes, whilst the follow-up, 'Tarkus', featured a twenty-minute title track. Piano and keyboard workouts by Keith Emerson, often adapted from the classical realm, dazzle on these longer pieces. Their UK #2 hit single 'Fanfare For The Common Man' was inspired by an Aaron Copland work. Bassist Greg Lake would contribute shorter tracks, often ballads, that would become known via radio play: US hit 'Lucky Man', 'From The Beginning' and a single that is familiar to all, 'I Believe In Father Christmas'.
All are featured on 'Emerson Lake & Palmer - The Ultimate Collection'.

They retreated to Nassau, Bahamas as tax exiles to record Love Beach with lyricist Peter Sinfield who is credited as a co-writer of each track. After Greg Lake and Carl Palmer had finished recording their parts they left the island, leaving Keith Emerson to finish the album himself. The album received negative reviews from critics.
