Patrick Doyle is a classically trained composer.His first film score, the acclaimed adaptation of "Henry V" with Kenneth Branagh for Renaissance films was scored in 1989. He has subsequently worked with Kenneth Branagh, a long time collaborator on numerous pictures including "Dead Again", "Much Ado About Nothing", "Frankenstein" and "Hamlet".Patrick has composed over 45 internationally renowned feature film scores including "Indochine", "Sense and Sensibility", "Carlito's Way", "Gosford Park", "A Little Princess", "Bridget Jones's Diary", "Nanny McPhee" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire".

Death on the Nile is a 2022 mystery thriller film directed by Kenneth Branagh from a screenplay by Michael Green, based on the 1937 novel of the same name by Agatha Christie.Scottish composer and actor Patrick Doyle has written music for and appeared in several of Kenneth Branagh's films. Before coming to films, Doyle received his education at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. In 1981, he appeared in his debut feature, Chariots of Fire (1981). He began his association with Branagh in 1987 when he joined the Renaissance Theatre Company. There Doyle composed music, served as musical director and acted in Branagh's productions. He began composing film scores in 1989 with Henry V. He has since worked steadily in films, both as an actor and a composer.

The film begins with opening credits intercut with pans across newspaper clippings about a society murder committed by conductor-composer Roman Strauss. Most of the articles were written by Gray Baker (Andy García), who visited Roman Strauss on the day of his execution. The gates of a mansion in the past fade into the same gates in the present day. As the main narrative begins, we meet Mike Church (Branagh), a smart-alecky Los Angeles private investigator whose jobs usually involve running down deadbeats and finding missing persons…

World War 1 in Colour is a documentary narrated by Kenneth Branagh. It features over five hours of rare footage from World War 1 which has been painstakingly colorized by over 400 technicians over a period of five months. The resulting documentary attempts to give new relevance to the reality and the horror of the Great War. The first of its six parts aired on September 1, 2003, in the United Kingdom. It was released on DVD in the United States as World War 1 in Color on May 10, 2005. The documentary consists of colorized footage from World War I. It also contains interviews with survivors of the conflict, including the noted veteran, Harry Patch. The series was available as a free gift in The Daily Telegraph during August 2007.
