2009 two CD collection of Disney classics penned by brothers Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman The Sherman brothers were hired by Walt Disney himself as his first and only staff songwriters. Their music has been an important part of motion pictures, theme park attractions, television productions, vinyl records, CDs, and Broadway shows, entertaining millions of people all over the world. Presented here are 59 songs highlighting the Sherman brothers' incredibly prolific Disney years from Annette's 1959 hit 'Tall Paul' to their work from The Tigger Movie in 2000. Newly restored with the latest digital technology, this collection features not only their landmark hits from Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh, The Jungle Book and 'It's A Small World,' but a number of their other classics, many available for the first time on CD.

The all-star line-up of Alex Lifeson (Rush), Andy Curran (Coney Hatch), Maiah Wynne and Alf Annibalini, continue their exponential growth of their trippy, edgy atmospheric sound that took the world by surprise, with this newly recorded track. The song undulates with progressive dexterity characterised by a fuzzy bass driven groove which once again features the haunting vocals and lyrics of Maiah Wynne seasoned with Alex Lifeson “sound – scaping” guitar tones and classic outro solo.

Marcus Creed amply proves in this recording of the Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne and the Dixit Dominus that he has what it takes to conduct George Frederick Handel. He's got the big beat down, plus the muscular rhythms, vigorous tempos, and vivid textures, as well as the tight ensembles and the unstoppable drive so essential in making Handel come alive. And that's just in the fast choral movements. In the solos and duets, Creed creates poised, alert, and wholly sympathetic accompaniments that help shape the singers' performances as part of the total work. And what singers! Both sopranos are superlative, especially Sophie Kussmann, and countertenor Andreas Scholl is, as always, strong, yet supple and sensitive.
