Knight Area

Hyperdrive marks a new era for Knight Area. The long running Dutch progressive rock band had previously released four studio albums and toured Europe and USA extensively, performing at all major prog rock festivals. In 2012 the band welcomed guitarist Mark Bogert as well as legendary bassist Peter Vink (Q65, Finch, Ayreon) into the fold.

After their 6th album Knight Area felt a very strong urge to create an album with a deeper message within. The first single, 'Blood On The Risers' for example is dedicated to the American paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions, who made nightly parachute drops early on D-Day, June 6. In that respect is the whole a tribute to the fallen ones who fought for the freedom of Europe. The music blends orchestra and guitars perfectly together to create heavy symphonic rock that could easily be a soundtrack. Knight Area is an established musical entity in the world of symphonic and (neo-)progressive rock. They toured all over the world and recorded and mixed this new album with Joost van den Broek (Epica, Ayreon). The album features Robby Valentine on grand piano and is also an intoruction to new singer Jan Willem Ketelaers (Ayreon). The new album of the band "Knight Area" comes from the Netherlands. Many of you probably know them, some fans probably even waited for this album throughout the last year, which the guys spent in silence, releasing nothing. Probably, this is the only collective of me known that, despite its considerable popularity, does not treat its music negligently, creates every song, putting all its soul into it. And so they went to the thirteenth year, and in our columns their ninth album - "Heaven and Beyond".

Neo-progressive rock from The Netherlands. Knight Area was founded in 2004 by Gerben Klazinga when he released the album 'The Sun Also Rises' which became a worldwide success and was followed by live performances in the United States (NEARfest) and other leading progressive rock venues in Europe. For the second album Knight Area expanded to a full seven-piece band and 'Under A New Sign' appeared in 2007 to excellent reviews worldwide, and demonstrated their classic neo-prog sound, influenced by such bands as Pendragon and IQ.

The Keller Area Youth Jazz Orchestra (KAYJO) is an All Star jazz orchestra comprising 5 saxes, 10 brass and a rhythm section. Students from Keller and the surrounding area convene when school is out, and rehearse under direction of a college jazz professor. Every member of the band is active in his or her school program so we only meet when school is out (June-July, Spring Break, Christmas holidays).

Sentinel: Cursed knight is a single player RPG which sets in the land of Kasweihn. You are a knight of the holy order to investigate what went wrong in the Kasweihn area, sent by king Rethvor. The king hasn’t heard anything from the region for months and it seems that no-one who entered came out recently. You are sent in and uncover the grueling horrors of darkness that has set in the Kasweihn region.
