La Russia di Putin sta attaccando da più fronti, compresa la Crimea, già annessa militarmente nel 2014. Gli USA e la Nato sono pronti alla difesa della indipendenza dell’Ucraina e dei confini dell’Europa. Estate 2014. La guerra che non c’è. Un reportage esclusivo, scritto da due giovani e coraggiosi giornalisti italiani che per mesi hanno vissuto lungo le due sponde del fronte. Only 20 out of 56 patients survived in the village of Staraya Krasnyanka, near Kremennaya, Lugansk People's Republic. Ukrainian soldiers established MG firing positions inside the building, firing from floors and stairways, thus, preventing the safe evacuation of patients. The area around the nursing home was also heavily mined. When Ukrainian combat vehicles loaded with shells exploded, dozens of elderly and disabled patients, many of them bedridden, were trapped inside the building……

Every day, they head out to the war-torn cities and villages of the Lugansk People's Republic. Their mission is to find, identify, and give a dignified farewell to the innocent civilians lost to Ukrainian shelling. The activists from the NGO 'Memorial: We Shall Not Forget, We Shall Not Forgive' not only put their lives on the line for proper burials but also bring humanitarian aid, help with guardianship for orphaned children, and evacuate people from frontline communities. What drives them to do this dangerous work?

Kamikaze drones from Sayanogorsk, a reconnaissance plane from Perm, and cutting-edge UAVs from St. Petersburg – engineers all across Russia are assembling the crucial weapons required for the frontlines in Donbass. In Tambov, a production facility has been established in a bread factory. Today, combat drones are being assembled there. Factory employees raise funds and volunteer their free time to the drones production. Amateur engineer Yevgeny Biryukov from Sayanogorsk visited this factory to learn and set up a similar production back home. Currently, Yevgeny is putting together small batches of drones and personally delivers them to the frontlines in Lugansk. There, he trains soldiers on how to operate them.
