A group of grad students have booked passage on the crabbing boat Harbinger to study the effects of global warming on a pod of Belugas in the Bering Sea. When the ship's crew dredges up a recently thawed piece of old Soviet space wreckage, things get downright deadly. It seems that the Russians experimented with tardigrades, tiny resilient animals able to withstand the extremes of space radiation. The creatures survived, but not without mutation. Now the crew is exposed to aggressively mutating organisms. And after being locked in ice for 3 decades, the creatures aren't about to give up the warmth of human companionship.

Veteran Los Angeles metallers ARMORED SAINT will release their new album, "Win Hands Down", on June 2 via Metal Blade. States ARMORED SAINT singer John Bush: "When we began talking about a new record, I told Joey Vera [bass] to pretend we were a really huge band and that we could do anything we wanted. At least that was the mindset we should have, from the writing to the production. What came out was 'Win Hands Down', which is our first record in five years." He continued: "There's everything from classic ARMORED SAINT rocker songs to epic songs and we all dug deep to deliver something special. If we weren't going to, then we shouldn't have bothered. I'm glad we did."

Accompanying Eddie on this latest album is Tony Palmer on 2nd guitar, Greg McDaniel on bass, Timothy Taylor on Drums, and Harmonica Hinds and Bob Waleso sharing duties on harmonica. In this new set of songs they cover everything from the jazzy Ghetto Woman by B.B. King, in which Eddie sounds stylistically similar to the great Fenton Robinson, to a wonderful rendition of the Jimmy Reed classic, “Baby What You Want Me to Do,” where Eddie’s guitar sound pays direct homage to his dad. In an effort to adapt to an increasingly younger audience, he has modernized his style by experimenting with different guitar pedal effects. The results are clearly evident on many of his rock-leaning, distorted guitar solos including a very prominent one featured on Doctor Clayton’s “I Got to Find My Baby.”

After seeing Rick in concert over 100 times was the first time you really get a sense of who Rick really is as a Musician and a man. He is hysterical! It was so great to see what went into his songs and the paths his music has taken from Blues, Rock, Pop and other various other genres and how he ended up incorporating it all into his work today. As he gets to play some songs like Me and Johnny that he doesn't get to play in his Rock shows with the full band.
