To call this compilation Best of Southern Rock is a bit of a misnomer, because it really isn't. The performances selected here aren't exactly the highest of quality, to say nothing of the heinous omission of the Allman Brothers from this elite group of Southern rockers. Recorded live over a five-year span from 1996-2001, it features some of the most respected and iconic figures of Southern rock performing some of their greatest songs. Appropriately starting off with Lynyrd Skynyrd's classic "Sweet Home Alabama," the compilation wastes no time in getting down to business, taking cuts from .38 Special, Van Zant, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, and the always hard rockin' gurus Molly Hatchet. While the inclusion of some songs over others may leave die-hard fans scratching their heads and inquiring where the big hits are, this economically sensible compilation is a nice showcase of the genre's finest bands, and serves as a nice stepping stone into a style of rock sorely undervalued in the rock & roll catalog.

A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 21 November 1975 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. Produced by Roy Thomas Baker and Queen, it was reportedly the most expensive album ever recorded at the time of its release. Upon release, A Night at the Opera topped the UK Albums Chart for four non-consecutive weeks. It peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 and became the band's first platinum-certified album in the US. At the 19th Grammy Awards, it received Grammy Award nominations for Best Pop Vocal Performance by a Duo, Group or Chorus and Best Arrangement for Voices. Retrospective reviews have hailed it as Queen's best album, and one of the greatest albums in rock music history. In 2020, Rolling Stone ranked it at number 128 on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. In 2018, it was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. This is the second edition of A Night At The Opera on DVD-A with, released a few months after the first edition, with slightly different artwork and 5.1 mix, under the guidance of Brian May who wasn't happy with the original 5.1 mix by Elliot Scheiner.

The Cancionero de Medinaceli or Cancionero Musical de Medinaceli (CMM) is a manuscript containing Spanish music of the Renaissance. It was copied during the second half of the 16th century and kept at the library of the Duke of Medinaceli's house, hence its name. Is it probably the most important compilation of Spanish secular polyphony of the Renaissance after the Cancionero de Palacio.

This fine recording shows the many types of keyboard music that CPE Bach wrote, and presents it on two instruments that truly give the music the tone it needs. Marcia Hadjimarkos is an excellent performer and her choice of works is very judicious.

Gary Numan experienced renewed interest during the late '90s due to a popular remake of "Cars" by electro metallists Fear Factory. As a result, Numan reappeared back from the dead - releasing new albums, launching tours, and winning over new fans. The time was right to issue a brand new Numan compilation (despite the fact that countless career overviews had surfaced throughout the years), as the 29-track double disc Exposure: The Best of Gary Numan 1977-2002 appeared in shops in 2002. Despite what its title would like you to believe, there are quite a few holes here - the majority of the tracks come from Numan's early work. Most Numan fans would agree that his finest work came from this era (circa the late '70s/early '80s)…

Anatoly Alexandrov (1888-1982) - not to be confused with several other Russian composers with the name Alexandrov - was a Russian composer and pianist who wrote music in virtually all genres but mainly focused on the keyboard. The style is reminiscent of late Scriabin and, perhaps more than anything else, Medtner. Now, Alexandrov's music isn't, in the end, quite on the level of either of those composers, but this survey by Hamish Milne proves that Alexandrov is certainly a worthwhile encounter.

Live and Unreleased is a compilation of live recordings of Weather Report. The tracks are taken from live performances that took place from November 25, 1975 to June 3, 1983. Since its skill at live improvisation made up a large part of the band's appeal, its perhaps surprising that this is only their third official live recording (the previous two were 1972's Live in Tokyo and 1979's 8:30).

This 20 songs compilation encompasses 10 years of singles released during the Cranberries career. "Hollywood" and "You and Me" were only released in certain countries but never the less have been included. Two brand new tracks were recorded specially for this album. As there are 20 tracks on the album we used a number of different single versions of several songs, plus created a few new edits. This is a sample of Cranberries music across 5 albums. Tracks 19 & 20 are previously unreleased and recorded in Miami at Criteria Hit Factory Studios on June 3-6 2002.

The last of Ace's three compilations devoted to Fulson's Kent product basically combines his late-'60s Now! album with his 1978 Lovemaker album, adding three unissued cuts and a 1972 single. Now! was actually comprised largely of 1967-1968 singles, and it's this material, which takes up the first half of the CD, that holds up best. It's loosey goosey late-'60s blues/soul crossover with a sassy attitude and adroit combinations of stinging blues guitar, strutting vocals, soulful horns, and organ, never heard better than on the opening "I'm a Drifter." Actually the Now! cuts sound better in this grouping than much of his slightly earlier '60s Kent stuff, because they're not as unduly repetitious, though they're filled out with cover versions of familiar tunes like "Funky Broadway," "Let's Go Get Stoned," and "Everyday I Have the Blues"…
