June 1st sees the release of the 'Hourglass Anthologies' and special packages, from LAMB OF GOD- a celebration of some of the bands greatest work thus far.
Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD have set "Resolution" as the title of their new album, due on January 24, 2012 via Epic Records (one day earlier internationally through Roadrunner). The CD was once again helmed by producer Josh Wilbur, who worked on the band's last effort, 2009's "Wrath".One of the tracks that will appear on "Resolution" includes an orchestra and a choir. "There's opera singers, a whole symphony going on… It's crazy," drummer Chris Adler told Gun Shy Assasssin about the song, which features the band's vocalist, Randy Blythe, singing slowly over the opening. "We were trying to figure out how to not be black metal but do something totally different. I think we succeeded," Adler said.
The deluxe edition of the upcoming Lacrimosa album "Hoffnung" comes in a digipack and contains a 28-page booklet as well the previously unreleased DVD "Live in Mexico City - The Movie". LACRIMOSA don't celebrate their 25th anniversary with a regular best-of CD, but with a brand-new studio album, which the band has been working on since January 2015 together with a 60 person orchestra.
Another Country is the twenty-ninth studio album by British singer-songwriter Rod Stewart. It was released on 23 October 2015 through Capitol Records. It was produced by Stewart and Kevin Savigar. Stewart released his twenty-eighth studio album, Time, in 2013. The album contained eleven songs written or co-written by Stewart. Commenting on Time, Stewart stated, "I've found that the only way to write songs is to be as personal and honest as possible, And when my last album was so well-received it gave me the confidence to keep on writing, and to examine and write about different things. It also gave me the freedom to experiment with different sounds like reggae, ska and Celtic melodies."
The veteran New Wave of American Heavy Metal architects deliver an antagonistic set of world-weary might on their ninth full-length effort. Flush with neck-snapping velocity and chunky, Pantera-worthy riffage, the ten-song set is a worthy successor to Lamb of God's eponymous, Billboard-topping 2020 offering. Produced by longtime co-conspirator Josh Wilbur (Korn, Megadeth), the reliably uncompromising Omens includes some of the band's heaviest and most apoplectic works to date, with highlights arriving via the pummeling "Nevermore" and "Greyscale," and the unrelenting title cut.
