This release is the second collection of Climax Blues Band albums and features their work issued between 1973 and 1976, a period of commercial and concert success for the group which saw the release of the albums FM Live, Sense Of Direction, Stamp Album and Gold Plated.
Formed in Stafford in 1968 by Colin Cooper, the band (originally known as the Climax Chicago Blues Band) recorded their first live album, FM Live, in New York City at the Academy of Music. The album was originally released as a single LP in the UK by Polydor Records, but issued as an entire performance by Sire Records in the USA. Finally on Blu-Ray! This electrifying concert was recorded in May 2001 in the "New Morning" club in Paris, one of the most important European jazz clubs. The packed house experienced Robben Ford in peak form. It was a truly classy performance on the stage that night. Accompanied by Louis Pardini (keyboards), Jimmy Earl (bass) and Brannen Temple (drums) Robben Ford showed every facet of his furious guitar playing. With numbers like "Start It Up", "Moonchild Blues", "Deaf, Dumb And Blind" or "You Got Me Knockin'" the virtuoso excelled himself and played blues rock which simply can't be bettered.

The American jazz guitarist Mike Stern performs at the most celebrated club in Paris in this engaging concert film. Accompanied by Bob Francescini, Tom Kennedy, and Dave Weckl, Stern wows the crowd with rich renditions of "Tumble Home," "K.T.," "Wishing Well," "Chatter," and many more.

New Morning: The Paris Concert is a new DVD that takes you up close and personal with the Yellowjackets - keyboardist Russell Ferrante, saxophonist Bob Mintzer, bassist Jimmy Haslip and drummer Marcus Baylor - on stage at the New Morning, one of the most celebrated clubs in Paris. The DVD captures 90 minutes of live music at the New Morning. The disc also features "Soundcheck Sketches," a brief but insightful segment narrated by Haslip, who introduces each band member and provides an overview of the Yellowjackets philosophy as a whole.
