Here we have a Progressive Rock outfit which was formed during the late seventies in the city of Trenque Lauquen, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Their sound was of a Dark Symphonic tendency, and owed much of its sonic roots and influences to the likes of Van Der Graaf Generator and Pink Floyd. More than 30 years have elapsed since then, and this album features most of the band's original members!
Jordi Masó’s critically acclaimed survey of Turina’s complete piano music continues to unearth exciting discoveries. Turina’s gift for evocative writing is explored in the early and little-known Coins de Séville which fuses Andalusían folk music with French impressionism to remarkable effect. The virtuosic La leyenda de la Giralda evokes Seville Cathedral’s bell-tower and symbol of the city in four vivid episodes. The streets, sounds, and rhythms of Turina’s native city infuse much of his music and in Por las calles de Sevilla and his final work, Desde mi terraza, their lure is felt with a fierce intensity.

Goodman, mayor of Las Vegas, the city celebrated its 100th birthday on May 15, 2005, reflecting the passage of a century since the day "our first residents purchased 100 acres in a land auction near what is now the heart of downtown Las Vegas." For about the first 45 of those 100 years, the town was, as Goodman admits, a "sleepy railroad stopover," but the 55 years since have seen it "transformed…into the entertainment capital of the world."

The one drawback of live albums is that the listener is left on their own to visualize what is happening on the stage. For most pop/rock recordings this is not a serious detriment. But for a highly stylized and theatrical show such as Sarah Brightman's Harem World Tour: Live From Las Vegas, the music and visuals go hand-in-hand and this edited CD version of the program lacks the impact felt by the enthusiastic live audience. With applause heard within instrumental passages, including the elongated opening, it leaves a listener puzzled as to what is happening.
