Everything is always a question of cycle with Laurent Dehors, where the importance is to remain constant. Consistency is the fabulous entropy machine that gets started in "Les Oiseaux", with its hoarse and catchy sound that opposes the chirping of the reeds. We are in a known universe, which we would have changed the interior … After spending a moment with the pianist Matthew Bourne, here the Norman musician privileges another section of his orchestra for a meeting in small committee. The proponents of rock, to hear the direction taken by the young guitarist Gabriel Gosse on the generous "Too Fast", where the drummer Franck Vaillant makes speak his inventiveness voluble. Laurent Dehors has never been afraid to go on this ground, and it is not Sheep who will contradict him.
Pierre-Laurent Aimard has for decades acted as the foremost contemporary exponent of modern piano music, building a reputation for profound musicality across the works of widely varied composers and even further-ranging techniques. In an immensely satisfying traversal of the genre, this 6 disc set of Debussy, Ravel, Boulez, Berg, Ives, Messiaen, Ligeti, and Carter works is a snapshot of Aimard doing some of the best work of his storied career.
Laurent Voulzy (born Lucien Voulzy on December 18, 1948 in Paris, France) is a French singer and composer. Voulzy originally led the English-pop-influenced Le Temple de Vénus before joining Pascal Danel as guitarist from 1969 to 1974. However, he is best known for his collaborative songwriting efforts with singer/songwriter Alain Souchon and his solo singing career, which spanned several successful albums. Voulzy had an international hit with the song Rockollection. The French lyrics were interspersed with some lines from classic rock hits after the chorus. His major French hits also include 'Le Soleil Donne' - sung in French, English and Spanish - and 'Les Nuits Sans Kim Wilde' ('Nights without Kim Wilde'), inspired by the chart-topping English singer.
