The final concert of Bob Marley’s career, this oft-bootlegged show has never sounded better than on this official 2011 release from the Marley estate. With plenty of hiss and maxed levels, Live Forever is hardly perfect when it comes to sound quality, and the laid-back show doesn’t stand up against Marley’s live masterpiece Babylon by Bus, but fans who want their reggae party a little less “punky” will find this a great, chilled alternative. Seeing as they were on tour in support of the album, plenty of material from Uprising appears, including lesser-known numbers such as “Zion Train” and “Work.”

Detroit and the New Political Economy of Integration in Public Education

Detroit and the New Political Economy of Integration in Public Education by Curtis L. Ivery, Joshua A. Bassett
English | PDF,EPUB | 2022 | 171 Pages | ISBN : 3030997952 | 8.2 MB

This edited volume analyzes a little-known but important juncture in the history of racial integration and public education during the Obama administration through the advent of the Trump administration, which also marks a significant transition of US racial politics and race relations from its foundations in civil rights movements of the 1950s/60s. Focusing on the City of Detroit, which via the historic Supreme Court case, Milliken v. Bradley, stands as the central site of analysis for these broader national dynamics of race, education, and integration—what we term as a “new political economy of integration”—this volume offers a multidisciplinary perspective on the critical role integration must play in the project of America becoming a multiracial democracy as US populations continue to grow more diverse and will soon transform the nation into a multiracial majority for the first time in its history.

Europe in the Global Space Economy

Europe in the Global Space Economy by Patrizia Caraveo , Clelia Iacomino
English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2023 | 106 Pages | ISBN : 3031366182 | 6 MB

This book analyzes the policies and space economy programs of major space-faring nations and explores whether the present institutional set-up in Europe is adequate to address the challenges. At the core of the discussion are the relative roles of governments and markets in a highly dynamic panorama that involves advancements in science, modifications in technology and organization, and the introduction of new rules of behavior. After a close examination of the history of development of the space economy, and the shift from the centralized model to deregulation and the opening up of space activities to commercial companies, a wide-ranging overview of global space governance is provided. National and regional perspectives are discussed, and the current role of commercial actors in the global space system is elucidated.
