42 at the time, guitarist Ed Bickert (who had been a top Canadian studio musicians since the late '50s) finally had an opportunity to lead his own record date in 1975; fortunately, there would be many more. The cool-toned guitarist sounds fine on six sophisticated standards (including "Come Rain or Come Shine," "When Sunny Gets Blue" and "It Might as Well Be Spring") with two other versatile Canadian players, bassist Don Thompson and drummer Terry Clarke. Subtle and lightly swinging music.

This blues-oriented set has the feel of a jam session. Bassist Willie Kent and Lil Ed Williams split the vocals on a date that features contrasting guitar voices in the relatively clean Eddie C. Campbell and the more distorted playing of Williams; both have plenty of solo space. Pianist Allen Batts and drummer Baldhead Pete Williams are quite solid behind the lead voices who get to stretch out on the basic but highly appealing material. Who's Been Talking, which includes songs by Howlin' Wolf, Elmore James and J.B. Hutto in addition to the newer songs, is easily recommended to modern blues collectors.

Ed's new release today is a collection of songs he wrote and recorded as demos over the last 20 years. Ed never wrote a song he didn't mean, so these are honest songs that we are fortunate he took the time to record. American songwriter, artist, and actor Ed Bruce maintained a successful career for more than four decades. The songs he wrote and sang are legendary, “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys”, “After All,” “Girls, Women, and Ladies,” “When You Fall In Love, Everything’s A Waltz and My First Taste Of Texas are just a few of the self-penned hit songs by this great artist. Ed was born in Keiser, Arkansas, on December 29, 1939. While still very young, his family moved across the river to Memphis, and he claimed Tennessee as his home. Ed started writing songs in his early teens and, in 1957 while a senior in high school, he signed his first record deal with the hometown label, legendary Sun Records.

Ed Palermo is not a "business as usual" musician. After all, when most people think of "big bands," they think "Oh No! Not Jazz!!" But go to see Ed Palermo's Big Band, and you might hear Frank Zappa, Todd Rundgren, The Police, Pat Metheny, or one of Ed's own compositions, loaded with lush turns and unexpected twists. Gil Evans wonderfully articulated Palermo's unusual approach to traditional instrumentation: "I first heard Ed Palermo's music in a small club in the SoHo section of Manhattan. He was using the instrumentation of a traditional big band, yet his arrangements and songs were anything but that. When I thought the music was going in a certain direction, it would suddenly turn a corner. Ed has the ability to keep that important balance between cohesiveness and unpredictability. Ed Palermo's music is alive and represents now."

Mister Ed (Eduardo Gomes de Bifteca) studied the recorder and specialised in classical music. In 1987 he graduated from the famous Berklee College of Music. Once moved to New York, Ed met two guys who were looking for a singer with a high voice! Together they formed the rock group Forked Tung and toured through the US and Europe. They had lots of fun but lacked success. Eventually mister Ed found work as a DJ touring US airbases. He always kept his nickname Mr. Ed. This time he earned good money and was able to buy enough gear to atart his own Mr. Ed studio. This he did in Cork, Ireland and that is where he created his first two albums: "Orange Dream" and "Ultra-Beige Dream".

Worldwide superstar Ed Sheeran has confirmed details of his hugely anticipated new album ÷ (pronounced “divide”), set for release on 3rd March 2017 through Asylum/Atlantic Records. Ed’s third studio album – is on course to become one of the most significant global album releases of 2017 and sees the 25-year-old Suffolk native in his finest form yet. The genre-defying LP is the result of an artist who consistently pushes himself in new directions, uncovering fresh musical ground using a seemingly limitless musical vocabulary. Drawing inspiration from a host of personal experiences and subjects, Ed takes you through a hugely personal journey; be that reflecting on past relationships, family memories, his musical career or his time off travelling the world in 2016. Musically ÷ is an array of beautifully orchestrated and emotive ballads, impassioned raps laid over hip hop beats, timeless acoustic guitar masterpieces and innovative, idiosyncratic pop music.
