Formed in California, the band is comprised of members: Chester Bennington (RIP), Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave ‘Phoenix’ Farrell, Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda. Known for their extensive touring, the band’s various releases have gone on to top the Billboard 200. The band has sold over fifty million albums worldwide and was included on Billboard’s “Best Artists of the Decade”. Their alternative sound meshed with elements of hip-hop and electronica have made the band one of the most successful acts of the 2000s. This Hi-Res collection includes the albums: Hybrid Theory (2000), Meteora (2003), Minutes To Midnight (2007), A Thousand Suns (2010), Living Things (2012), The Hunting Party (2014), Hybrid Theory: Live At Download Festival (2014), and 2x One More Light (2017).

Papercuts is the first singles collection from innovative musical force Linkin Park. The career-spanning 20-track album compiles 18 essential anthems, plus the never-before-released track “Friendly Fire” recorded during the 2017 sessions for their seventh album One More Light and fan-favorite rarity “QWERTY”. Linkin Park were inspired to thoughtfully curate Papercuts by their fans’ passionate reception of the 20th Anniversary Editions of Hybrid Theory in 2020 and Meteora last year. Goldfrapp are an English electronic music duo from London, formed in 1999. The duo consists of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals, synthesiser) and Will Gregory (synthesiser). Collection includes: Felt Mountain (2000); Black Cherry (2003); Supernature (2005); Seventh Tree (2008); Head First (2010); Tales Of Us (2013); Silver Eye (2017).

Having taken Benson along with him when he founded CTI, Creed Taylor merely leaves the guitarist alone with a small group on his first release. The payoff is a superb jazz session where Benson rises to the challenge of the turbulent rhythm section of Jack DeJohnette and Ron Carter, with Clarence Palmer ably manning the organ. Benson is clearly as much at home with DeJohnette's advanced playing as he was in soul/jazz (after all, he did play on some Miles Davis sessions a few years before), and his tone is edgier, with more bite, than it had been for awhile. The lyrical Benson is also on eloquent display in "Ode to a Kudu" (heard twice on the CD, as is "All Clear"), and there is even a somewhat experimental tilt toward Afro-Cuban-Indian rhythms in "Somewhere to the East." A must-hear for all aficionados of Benson's guitar.

Only 13 very lucky people have this record in their collection and nearly 300 have it in their wantlist on Discogs. Tough luck for most, considering only 200 copies were pressed back in 1971! "Thank you for being what you really are"… key words from this impossibly rare 1971 private pressing LP.
BETTY lays down who they really are straight upon "Handful" like a breathing snapshot in time. The performances and mix sound like they were done on the fly, which in the private pressing tradition means the artists are captured unfiltered with diamond-in-the-rough vitality. Their influences are seamlessly integrated into a personality filled biker rock roadhouse attack with discreet echoes of Canned Heat, Steppenwolf, the Doors, even throwing an early '60s UK beat rock curveball at one point. They are pro at communicating but not slick enough to compromise their own reality by aping their influences. The musical elements here will be familiar but the band's audacious attitude fire this baby up with undiluted excitement. The music feels like real life captured out in the wild rather than created in the studio.

With CTI Records having gone independent in 1970, founder Creed Taylor celebrated the early success of the label with a one night only concert at the Hollywood Palladium on July 18, 1971. Taylor handpicked a dream team of CTI artists for California Concert: The Hollywood Palladium, with GEORGE BENSON on guitar, FREDDIE HUBBARD on trumpet, HUBERT LAWS on flute, STANLEY TURRENTINE on tenor saxophone, HANK CRAWFORD on alto saxophone, JOHNNY HAMMOND on organ and electric piano, RON CARTER on bass, BILLY COBHAM on drums and AIRTO MOREIRA on percussion.
