Logan Lucky A Tuti Balhé 2017

Logan Lucky is the new comedy film from director Steven Soderbergh (Magic Mike, Ocean’s Trilogy) starring an ensemble cast featuring Channing Tatum (Magic Mike), Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Daniel Craig (Spectre). The film follows a close group of working class siblings and their friends who set out to execute an elaborate robbery during the beloved Coca-Cola 600 race during Memorial Day Weekend. Logan Lucky is being released by Bleecker Street and Fingerprint Releasing on August 18, 2017. The soundtrack to Logan Lucky is comprised of classics from artists such as Creedance Clearwater Revival, Bo Diddley and John Fahey. The film is highly musical with several sequences playing long takes of songs and tracks playing every couple of minutes throughout the movie. John Denver’s music even features in the story itself. A selection of score tracks composed by Soderbergh’s frequent collaborator David Holmes (Ocean’s Trilogy) are also included on the soundtrack album.

Marco Beltrami is known for finding a unique approach to scoring in each of his films. For the film “Scream”, he threw away conventional horror music clichés and instead called upon his concert music roots to explore a new sonic landscape. For “The Homesman” Beltrami constructed his own instruments that would meld the archaic and new. The creations were as tiny as a refitted lap steel guitar to giant, cross-ranch cables that could pick up wind and translate it into a haunting glow. Subsequently, his resume has expanded to include films ranging from epic drama to dark comedy. Beltrami has been nominated twice for Academy Awards for Best Score, “3:10 to Yuma” (2007) and “The Hurt Locker” (2008). His most recent works include “Fantastic Four”, “Ben Hur”, “Hellboy” and “Scream 2”.

Logan is a 2017 American superhero film, the tenth installment in the X-Men film series, as well as the third and final Wolverine solo film following X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) and The Wolverine (2013). The film directed by James Mangold, starring - Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen.

Lucky Soul are back today with stunning new single 'No Ti Amo' - the first from their forthcoming third record, entitled 'Hard Lines', which will see a release on August 11th on Crystal Paris Records. "Come Back Road," written by Josh Kear, Ross Copperman and Rodney Clawson, benefits from symmetry in the production - a fingerpicked acoustic guitar and Mize's serrated edge vocals give way to a contemporary, thunderous drum loop before returning to the acoustic strums.

Charles Mingus (1922-1979), nicknamed "the angry man of jazz" and still today an icon of the jazz world, was known for his intimidating temperament. His musical talent on double bass, as musical arranger, bandleader or composer, was immense. His music touches on all kinds of jazz styles, from free, blues, hard bop, big band or third stream, influenced by Duke Ellington's orchestrations, but always has an element of irritation and danger. Influenced by New Orleans jazz, Mingus also fancied collective improvisation (as we can hear on various albums on this collection). This exciting box set is a journey through his fascinating music, displaying all of his artistic mutations and idiosyncrasies. Mingus is accompanied here by a host of all-time greats including Max Roach, Teo Macero, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker and Bud Powell.

This film explores the lives of these creative masters, their creations and the culture they shared with dramatized musical performances at a Chinese restaurant with a Jewish clientele on Christmas Day.
