In Requiem is Paradise Lost's eleventh studio album, again with Rhys Fulber on production duties. Talking about Paradise Lost, everyone knows that they are the fathers of gothic metal, although in some discs they have experimented with electro music. Now, they are back to the roots of their first albums and they seem stronger than ever! This album, ''In Requiem'', put them back to their throne.

From 1958 to 1993, Thomas and Louise Boddie’s industrious Boddie Recording Company issued nearly 300 albums and 45s, recorded 10,000 hours of tape, and remained in operation longer than any other studio, pressing plant, or label group in the history of Cleveland. Long forgotten even by the standards of the chronically overlooked northeastern Ohio music scene, Boddie was a fusion of its owner’s engineering genius and his limited economic means, its DIY recording studio housed in a humble barn, churning night and day to capture the sounds emanating from Cleveland’s east side neighborhoods. The 58 tracks on these three CDs (or 65-track 5LP) represent the best of the Boddies’ in-house Soul Kitchen, Luau, and Bounty labels, which released an unspoiled treasure trove of kitchen-sink eccentric soul, fuzzbox funk, shoestring doo-wop, and haunted, eerily hook-laden spirituals. Enclosed inside is a mountain of office-styled ephemera: two massive booklets brimming with detail on the Boddies and their artists; extensive notes and scores of unpublished photos; a complete detailed discography folio; reproduced fliers; and a Boddie greeting card—all rendered with the handcrafted charm that was the Boddie hallmark. Call it a self-contained secret record industry crammed into one box.

Paradise Lost's career trajectory comes virtually full circle on 2009's Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us, an album that sees the British metal veterans resuming virtually the exact same accessible goth doom style that characterized their most commercially and critically successful albums, in essence making it sound like the would-be successor to 1995's Draconian Times.

Released in 2012, Tragic Idol is Paradise Lost's 13th studio album, and fourth since re-embracing heavy metal as their guiding light, to the delight of most fans, pundits, and, one would guess, the record labels, tour promoters, and other music business entities picking up the tab.

An ideal starting point for new fans, Reflections: The Best of Paradise Lost offers a concise overview of the band's career; its 17 tracks, including a handful of live cuts and remixes, cover the full evolution of their sound, tracking back to the primitive death metal of their early work through to the gothic, even lush material of albums like Shades of God and finally culminating in the industrial overtones of latter-day tracks like "One Second."

Icon is the fourth studio album by British heavy metal band Paradise Lost in 1993. It marked a departure from the death-doom sound of their early work, and was the last album to feature Matthew Archer on drums. Deep, powerful and dizzying riffs punctuate the album on the whole, and the enormous production only reinforces them, turning slow anthems like "Joys of the Emptiness" and "Colossal Rains" into inescapable haunters.

Most people will know Medusa as the Gorgon from Greek mythology; she is the infamous beast with venomous snakes for hair who will turn anyone that dares to look into her eyes to stone. It is this hideous creature who PARADISE LOST have chosen to be the figureheard for their 15th studio album, as, from a philosophical perspective, she is more than simply a monster. Singer Nick Holmes started his research, intrigued to find greater meaning behind the symbol of Medusa and became particularly fascinated by the Gorgon’s nihilistic connotations.

This expansive Box Set contains all 63 of Tony Bennett’s albums in separate facsimile LP jackets, three DVDs, six volumes of Bennett’s non-album singles, a previously unreleased CD of his Las Vegas debut from 1964, and two discs of rarities, including Bennett’s first recording, an Army V-Disc of “St. James Infirmary Blues,” making it an absolute treasure trove for Bennett fans and collectors.
