"Roots" is the title of the new acoustic best-of album of Bonfire's Hard'n'Heavy legends. 2 CDs with 24 songs, full of classics, reinterpreted in Bonfire's usual manner. Since there are still no live shows to the current album, Bonfire decided to take it to heart: In summer 2020 they went to the "Flatliners Recording Studios" again to work on the album "Roots" in order to help the fans through hard times with new material. Parallel to the record, the band started a crowdfunding campaign with great goodies, such as living room concerts or VIP tickets. They have been in business for 30 years and are far from getting tired!
For the first time in nearly five years, David Gilmour has released a new solo song. It’s called Yes, I Have Ghosts. The acoustic guitar-driven track was initially released as part of an audiobook edition of Polly Samson’s A Theatre for Dreamers. It’s the first new music from the former Pink Floyd musician since his critically acclaimed 2015 studio album Rattle That Lock. Because the three-minute, 45 second tune was also inspired by her best-selling literary fiction novel, the lyrics were penned by Samson too — who also happens to be Gilmour’s wife. On top of Samson’s lyricism and Gilmour’s voice and guitar work, the couple’s youngest child, daughter Romany Gilmour, is featured on Yes, I Have Ghosts too.
Called a “keyboard wizard” by The New Yorker, BOB MALONE has amassed a loyal international fan-base through twenty-five years of relentless touring and nine critically acclaimed album releases. He has also played keyboards for John Fogerty since 2011. He’s been a session player for Ringo Starr and Avril Lavigne, and his recording of “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” was the theme in the 2018 Illumination/Universal movie trailers for The Grinch. Bob combines unforgettable songwriting, refreshing reinterpretations of classic tunes, and a one-of-a-kind hybrid of rock, melodic pop, blues, and New Orleans R&B, delivered with high-energy piano virtuosity and a voice all his own. His new album, Good People drops on May 21 and is available for preorder on CD and vinyl now!
Flock is the record that Jane Weaver always wanted to make, the most genuine version of herself, complete with unpretentious Day-Glo pop sensibilities, wit, kindness, humour and glamour. A consciously positive vision for negative times, a brooding and ethereal creation.
The Seven were a rock group from Syracuse, New York. They were a rock group with elements of jazz and funk. This super obscure album from 1970 features funky horns, percussion and tight vocal harmonies along the lines of Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, Santana and Rare Earth. Six groovy originals and three covers Heat Wave (Martha & The Vandellas), Tell Her No (The Zombies) and Song For My Father (Horace Silver). An Upstate New York act, the group's roots go back to an outfit called The Upsetters. They were made up of members from Jeff & The Notes and Jimmy Cavallo & The Houserockers, etc.. Guitarist John Latocha left the group and was replaced by Bob Canastraro.
