Together the mezzo-soprano Marina Viotti and Christophe Rousset retrace Pauline Viardot’s versatile career and, taking up her great roles, present a musical portrait of a unique performer, who was unanimously acclaimed by the audiences of her time.

Recorded between Los Angeles and London, the album features striking co-writes and production with the likes of David Stewart and Jessica Agombar, the duet who produced and co-wrote BTS’ worldwide record-breaking smash hit single ‘Dynamite’. ‘Twisted’ is a daring, intense and mature record where lyrics, melody and Marina’s powerful vocal work together as a vehicle for processing emotion and expressing what Marina calls her ‘twisted’ personality.
