This unusual collection is dedicated to the very popular style: minimal music. Over the years this has evolved from austere, almost strict repetition with tiny movements to a more varied and free approach to material and technique. This set includes works for piano solo by most of the famous minimal composers. Starting with initiator, if you will, Cage, and followed by the first generation entirely devoting itself to this style: Riley and Glass. The next generation is represented by John Adams and Michael Nyman. Dutch pianist Jeroen van Veen is fascinated by minimal music.

O'Dette is unsurpassed among modern players in technical mastery of the lute, and indeed there is nothing in Kapsberger's music that is beyond him. More importantly, his touch is sure, his articulation is clean, and his tone is balanced in a way that brings Kapsberger's music into incredibly clear focus. O'Dette's interpretations fall on the ear in a way that makes them seem almost inevitable, as if this music should be played no other way.

Jan Nigges gives concerts internationally as a soloist and with his ensemble. In the past three years he has been a guest at the Opus Amadeus Oda Müziği Festivali in Istanbul, the Riga Early Music Centre in Latvia, the Festival d’Ambronay in France, the Centro Musica Antica in Italy, the Narodowe Forum Muzyki (NFM) in Poland, the Stiftung Mozarteum in Austria, the Merano Festival in South Tyrol, the Vesperali Festival Lugano in Ticino and the MA Festival Brugge in Belgium.

With Danny Mayer on guitar and Beau Sasser at the Hammond B-3, the trio's sound proves hard driving and groovin' with dark funky rhythms and blues lick solos. Alan Evans and his trio appeared for a live in-studio recording as the first of the Woodstock Sessions series. The Alan Evans Trio opens a window into another side - an emotional introspection, as dark as it is powerful.
