In 1977 Henderson signed to Capitol and produced his “Coming Through” album. This featured the jazz funk classic “Say You Will”, highlighted by UK DJ Richard Searling as one of the top jazz funk tracks of all time in a recent edition of the UK Togetherness magazine. Background vocals were included for the first time courtesy of Patrice Rushen, Phillip Bailey, Mtume and a very young Dianne Reeves.
Pink Flag is the first studio album by the English band Wire. It was released in November 1977 by Harvest Records. Though the album failed to chart on its initial release, it has been widely acclaimed and is considered by critics and other commentators to have been highly influential on many other musicians since its release. Wire’s first three albums need no introduction. They are the three classic albums on which Wire’s reputation is based. Moreover, they are the recordings that minted the post-punk form. This was adopted by other bands, but Wire were there first.
