The accordion has something of an over-instrument: two voices can not only be played dynamically, completely independently of each other, they can also - as with the big church organ - be tuned in a very specific way. Also, the dynamics that result from its efficient air production approaches any wind instrument easily. The resulting huge variable applications have thus emancipated this instrument in the present sustainable from any restrictive connotation as a "folk musical instrument".

The Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, under the artistic direction of its founder, Jan Lewtak, is proud to present an album of chamber music by the Polish composer Mikołaj Piotr Górecki. Mikołaj Piotr Górecki, who now lives in the United States, is an esteemed composer of contemporary Polish music. His works not only refer to the musical legacy of his father, Henryk Mikołaj, but also reflect a unique artistic path, displaying a wealth of aesthetic influences. The five works by Górecki recorded on this disc were composed over a period of almost a quarter of a century, between 1998 and 2022.

Jerry Madrawski is a very popular figure in the accordion community. He has recorded numerous albums (above all featuring the music of Polish composers); since 1980, he has been involved in educational activities. After many years of a virtuosic career, his artistic activity took a significant turn toward composing. This release is a documentary by Jerzy Madrawski. The title ‘Interference’ can be understood as overlapping of many stylistic features, as a result of which a new, comprehensive and harmonious effect arises. Madrawski’s work is impossible to label with a specific style.
