Seigen Ono is a Japanese musician who has released several albums on Virgin's Venture label, among which "Music for Comme des Garçons". As a producer and an engineer, Seigen has been involved with the Lounge Lizards, Bill Laswell, R. Sakamoto, Herbie Hancock, etc. This album hovers between ambient music and minimalist jazz, and features John Zorn, Evan Lurie, and other figures from the New York scene. The last part of the album is devoted to "Berliner Nächt", a very hypnotic suite for 12-string guitar.

With Lights in the Dark, Hector Zazou set out to create accessible versions of the ominous, sacred music of Ireland. Utilizing a talented cast of vocalists, Breda Mayock, Katie McMahon, and Lasairfhiona Ni Chonaola, Zazou keeps the music relatively quiet. Shimmering bells, plaintive flutes, and Mark Isham's mournful trumpet serve mostly as background noises to the passionate, female vocals. There are moments of great power, such as "Song of the Passion" and "In the Name of the Father May We Gain Victory," and other songs where there's just a few too many hallelujahs for most modern listeners. The title of the album is telling.

Metal For The Masses has a collection of modern metal masterpieces. It's a great mix of Swedish/European bands as well as many great American bands. This album is definitely a must for metal newbies. It gives you a great selection of the various bands going on. Arch Enemy, Lacuna Coil, Strapping Young Lad, Soilwork, Shadows Fall… and many others. If you like metal, this is an excellent choice to add to your collection. Two disc set includes 20 tracks on disc 1 and 160 mp3 tracks on disc 2.

Digitally remastered two CD set containing four Smash/Mercury Records albums from The Killer, dating from 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1978. Together features Jerry Lee's sister Linda Gail and the album included the US Country Top 10 single 'Don't Let Me Cross Over'. Live At The International and In Loving Memories - The Jerry Lee Lewis Gospel Album are what they say they are Keeps Rockin was his last for Mercury and with producer Jerry Kennedy. Like the others in this package, the album made the US Country charts, and also produced the Country hit 'I'll Find It Where I Can'. His gospel performances of "The Old Rugged Cross" and "The Lily of the Valley" and live renditions of "Jambalaya, " "Take These Chains from My Heart" and "Flip, Flop and Fly" join his country Top 10s "Don't Let Me Cross Over" and "I'll Find It Where I Can, " his spins on "Blue Suede Shoes, " "Roll Over Beethoven, " "Sweet Little Sixteen" and more.

Like drum 'n' bass, ambient is a genre which relies on making a little go a very long way; the resultant glut of weedy minimalist pastiches barely bears a cursory listen for the most part, but this collaboration between Harold Budd and Hector Zazou demonstrates better than any recent offering how the spaces between the sounds can be made pregnant with possibility. On "Pandas in Tandem", the ghost of Erik Satie treads lightly over a shuffle breakbeat; the result is fragile and crystalline, as tentatively pristine as snowflakes. Elsewhere, heavy rhythmic breathing carries "Around the Corner from Everywhere"; slivers of what sounds like hammered dulcimer undulate through "Johnny Cake", and clarinets collude conspiratorially on "As Fast as I Could Look Away She was Still There".

WARBRINGER has continued to evolve throughout its four albums into the one of the most aurally devastating bands in the scene today. Nestling in the heart of triumphant natural surroundings, it has constantly pursued its architectural and cultural transformation, somewhere in between ancient tradition and the incredibly modern. At the close of the last century, this city was already setting the tone for new artistic concepts. To accompany the capital of Norway in music and establish a subjective portrait of the city, first an immersion was necessary. Living to the rhythm of Oslo’s seasons constituted a vital source of inspiration that provided the composition with its starting point.
