Methods of Information Geometry

This is the first comprehensive book on information geometry, written by the founder of the field. It begins with an elementary introduction to dualistic geometry and proceeds to a wide range of applications, covering information science, engineering, and neuroscience. It consists of four parts, which on the whole can be read independently.

This book constitutes the proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Geometric Science of Information, GSI 2021, held in Paris, France, in July 2021.

This book aims to promote the core understanding of a proper modelling of road traffic accidents by deep learning methods using traffic information and road geometry delineated from laser scanning data. The first two chapters of the book introduce the reader to laser scanning technology with creative explanation and graphical illustrations, review and recent methods of extracting geometric road parameters.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Conference on Geometric Science of Information, GSI 2017, held in Paris, France, in November 2017.
