Mika Nakashima (中島 美嘉, Nakashima Mika, born February 19, 1983) is a Japanese singer and actress. Five of her studio albums, one of her mini-albums and one of her compilation albums have reached number one in Japan's Oricon album chart. She also embarked on an acting career, most notably as Nana Osaki in the live action film adaptations of Nana. She has sold over 10 million records in Japan.

Percussionist Mika Kallio’s fourth solo album, Gong Odyssey, was released in June 2022 and received an enthusiastic reception. The album, which is one of the record cases of the year, features gongs of different sizes, i.e. metallic circular percussion instruments. According to the nature of the gongs, the compositions on the album sway between ambient and improvised music. Kallio boldly throws himself into uncharted territories, conjuring a space of sound, where time ceases to exist.

Composed in 1911, Bluebeard’s Castle is Béla Bartók’s only opera – a radical masterpiece which has secured a place alongside the other innovative music dramas of the same period, from Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande to Berg’s Wozzeck. Planning to write a one-act opera, Bartók settled on a libretto by Béla Balázs with the kind of surreal and/or macabre themes that would soon feature in his two ballets, The Wooden Prince and The Miraculous Mandarin.
