Un double CD qui aura attendu - et nous avec - un certain temps avant de sortir des boîtes et autres étuis où il restait caché pour de bonnes raisons. L’actualité de la Loving Suite pour Birdy So a primé sur cet enregistrement qui date de mars et juillet 2012 et résulte d’une part d’un concert à Lyon (le live avec Christophe Monniot), et d’autre part de deux séances en trio. L’actualité fait bien les choses : au sortir de trois soirées « Tricot » à Orléans, dont l’une a permis de découvrir le grand orchestre du Tricot jouant une pièce de Monniot intitulée « Jéricho Sinfonia » (ou comment à la fois évoquer un mur en musique et le faire tomber), on est pénétré de l’idée que les jeunes gens et jeunes filles du Tricollectif savent aller chercher les collègues des autres générations (tels que Louis Sclavis par exemple) pour tisser (évidemment) avec eux des liens et élaborer des œuvres.

To say that Iron Maiden's Book of Souls was ardently anticipated would be a vast understatement. Though it was (mostly) finished in 2014, vocalist Bruce Dickinson's cancer diagnosis and treatment delayed its release until he was medically cleared. While 2006's A Matter Of Life And Death and 2010's The Final Frontier showcased longer songs, Book of Souls is epic by comparison. Their first double album, it's 92 minutes long, and three of its 11 tracks are over ten minutes. Steve Harris contributed one solo composition, and co-wrote six tracks with various bandmates. Dickinson – for the first time since Powerslave – wrote two solo tunes, the album's bookends, and collaborated on two more. The music is cleanly divided between the two discs. The first is tight; it offers a bit of everything that makes Iron Maiden…well, Iron Maiden.

Wacken Open Air quickly grew its reputation as the most important metal festival in continental Europe. A peaceful gathering of metal fans coming from all over the world. Long hair, leather clothes, mud and a lot of fun for what seems to be the closest music to resemble the spirit of festivals in the early seventies…

Composed at a time when neither oratorio nor opera existed, Emilio de' Cavalieri's musical drama Rappresentatione di anima et di corpo combines song, stage action, dance, and instrumental music in perfect harmony. The work's libretto, attributed to Agostino Manni, presents a musical morality play in which soul and body dispute, with the participation of other allegorical characters and angels and souls both in heaven and hell. On this new recording, maestro Rene Jacobs illuminates this key work, which was written at the dawn of the Baroque revolution.

Rufus has always had a deep-rooted passion for opera and has written his very first opera Prima Donna in 2009, which will now for the first time be recorded on disc! Prima Donna is slated for release on 11 September, tying in with concert performances of the opera in Europe and Asia. The 2nd album, which is on the significant release schedule, is a collection of songs based on Shakespeare sonnets, sung by Anna Prohaska, Rufus himself, and a surprise female guest star name to be announced soon
