Satisfaction Guaranteed: The Sound Of Philadelphia Volume 2 celebrates the 50th Anniversary in 2021 of the hugely influential Philadelphia International Records ( 8 CD & 12" Box ).

Two CD collection containing 48 tracks from the Joe Gibbs' stable of the 1970s, featuring a diversity of performer and musical styles. Includes significant Jamaican hits alongside almost forgotten rarities, with all but 15 recordings making their CD debut, many tracks unavailable on any format since the early '70s with 33 tracks new to CD. As the '70s unfolded, producer Joe Gibbs continued his inexorable rise to the top of the island's musical tree. His willingness to try new talent and styles gave him an edge over many of his contemporaries, as reflected in the willingness of major artists to join his roster of acts.

Here is a collection of vintage blues tracks recorded between 1949 and 1957 all on the subject of money. All the major stars had something to say about the dollar or a lack of in their pocket either literally or metaphorically. John Lee Hooker's later version of his classic, 'House Rent Boogie' offers advice on how to pay your rent by throwing a party and charging admission and charging for drinks. Other great stars featured on this CD include Amos Milburn, Eddie Vinson, Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf.

Hardly have we savoured the full taste of “Rhythm ’n’ Bluesin’ By The Bayou” than here comes another bucketful of steaming South Louisiana gumbo and this time it’s “Bluesin’ By The Bayou” – a spicy mix of guitars, harmonicas, and even the occasional accordion, accompanying those tales of despair or machismo that are the recipe for the blues. All the tracks stem from the studios of J.D. Miller in Crowley and Eddie Shuler in Lake Charles. These two men were wonders at spotting talent and getting the best out of the performers, as illustrated on the 28 tracks on this CD.
