Monicaz Vals Enkel, Vacker, Öm (2019)

Atmospheric music with the love of all stages of life in focus is interpreted by the singer Eleonor Ågeryd who now releases an album in her own name and lets us enjoy her favorites in jazz, pop and show. With warmth and swing she captivates us with her musical breadth but also great love for just jazz.

Mateusz Kowalski was born in Koszalin in 1995. He started learning to play the guitar at the age of 7 and for the next 12 years, he learned under the supervision of Dariusz Schmidt in the Grazyna Bacewicz State Music School Complex in Koszalin. Then he graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw after studies with Ryszard Balauszko. As a teenager, Mateusz Kowalski was spotted and recognized as one of the most interesting guitarists of the young generation. He is the winner of many international guitar competitions - his most important achievements include winning the first prizes in Antony (France) and Rust (Austria). At the 2018/2019 music season, he participated in a prestigious programme for guitarists called EuroStrings. Apart from numerous concerts in Poland, he has given concerts in Slovakia, Hungary, France, Italy, Croatia, Liechtenstein, Spain, Germany, South Africa, Belgium, England, Sweden, and Austria (including the famous Vienna Musikverein concert hall).

The octet Lars 8 - nine musicians including vocalist - plays jazz compositions and original arrangements of mainly Lars Gullin, but also by Lars Sjösten, Lars Färnlöf and Lars Werner. All of these composers are icons within the Swedish jazz, in which, in particular, Lars Gullin carried on a musical heritage based on a Nordic, romantic tone language. Several of the musicians in Lars 8 have worked regularly and closely with one or more of the above "Larsar" over the years on both recordings and concerts. The octet's repertoire also includes originals and songs by the band's own members.

This new release from Cuarteto Aurora features music for string trio and piano by Mexican composers. Cuarteto Aurora was formed in 2004 under the passionate vision of Mrs. Inesse Salaks who in a driven but loving fashion shaped this female-only piano quartet. The group began by performing in multiple venues in Mexico, leaving a clear testament of their ability to take on scores from the classical, romantic, and contemporary periods, with a rich and splendid interpretation. In their concerts, they include works by Mexican composers written and aimed especially for this ensemble of talented artists. The quartet has played in the Ciclo de Musica de Camara of UNAM, in multiple festivals like the Festival Cultural de Zacatecas, and the International Forum of New Music Manuel Enriquez, among others.

El próximo lunes 4 de noviembre se estrena en la Opéra Comique de París ‘Hercules enamorado’ ópera de Francesco Cavalli protagonizada por el bajo Nauhel Di Pierro, cantante argentino ‘Anclao en París’ desde hace años.
