[Blomljud] is the second album release from the Swedish progressive rock band Moon Safari. Moon Safari surpasses all other bands with their vocal harmonies. By using 6 voices to convey these close and beautiful harmonies Moon Safari masters a vocal sound previously unheard of in a 'prog rock' band. Comparisons to The Beach Boys and Yes are understandable but Moon Safari goes way beyond that because their vocal style goes deep into jazz harmony territory where there are many extended voicings and chord substitutions.

Moon Safari is a young and unique band from Sweden. Their trademark is cheerful prog with polyphonic (multiple voices) vocals. So far the band released three studio albums; “A Doorway to Summer” (2005), “Blomljud” (2008) and “Lover’s End” (2010). After releasing their brilliant “Lover’s End” album, the band was invited back to perform on the ROSfest festival. This double album is recorded live at the Rites of Spring Festival, the Majestic Theater, Gettysburg, PA on May 20, 2011.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut, iconic French duo Air releases a 2CD/Bluray reedition with rare and even unreleased material of their most legendary album Moon Safari.
The package includes a Spatial Atmos audio version of the original album, along with a remarkable selection of previously unreleased track versions, as well as the 1998 documentary film "Eating, Sleeping, Waiting and Playing" by acclaimed director Mike Mills in HD format. This documentary follows band members Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel during their first ever tour stops in New York, London, and Paris.

The group’s 2008 album, Blomljud found the band gaining a foothold in this early 21st century prog-rock world, but with Lover’s End the results are even more winning. Sweden’s Moon Safari strikes again. This third release from the quintet serves up another slice of their unique brand of symphonic prog.

Founded in 2003, Moon Safari made a splash in the progressive community when they released "A Doorway to Summer" in 2005. Produced by The Flower Kings keyboardist Tomas Bodin, the album with its soaring 5-part harmonies introduced something the prog world had never seen before.
