Nikolay Myaskovsky (1881–1950) was given the sobriquet of ‘the conscience of Russian music’ thanks to his dignified bearing and quiet wisdom – qualities reflected in the unemphatic strength of his music. His orchestral, chamber and instrumental works are regaining the currency they once enjoyed, but his large corpus of songs, many of them understated masterpieces, has yet to attract systematic attention – a situation this series hopes to remedy. This second album presents his entire output of songs for baritone and piano, most of them early works responding to Russian lyric poetry with the calm dignity typical of his compositions – though there is the occasional flash of passion.

"Step Into My Dream" is Susan's third album with evosound. Susan returned to the studio in Geneva, Switzerland with producer Adrien Zerbini and Spanish guitar maestro/arranger Ignacio Lamas after the release of bestseller album "511". Delving into golden age of pop/folk music from the late 1960s and early 1970s, Susan has reinterpreted classics such as the Beatles' "Something", the Turtles' "Happy Together", Creedence Clearwater Revivals' "Have You Ever Seen The Rain" and The Mama's & The Papa's "California Dreaming" in her own laid-back intimate acoustic pop, folk and bossa nova style. Susan stepped into the world of Beyoncé with an intimate acoustic version of the hit, "Halo".

"Not Even Happiness" is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Julie Byrne. The album was recorded and mixed in Byrne's hometown of Buffalo, New York, except for string arrangements by Jake Falby, which were recorded at a cabin in Holderness, New Hampshire. Her new album has the lucidity and tactility of a healing crystal. Not unlike Phil Elverum, she paints sublime, awestruck moments when simple things become overwhelming. The album is labeled as a contemporary folk release. According to Ed Nash of The Line of Best Fit, Not Even Happiness features leitmotifs of "nature and matters of the heart".
