Airwaves: The Greatest Hits chronicles a decade's worth of radio hits from Lawson Rollins’ seven solo albums, including the Billboard Top 30 contemporary jazz radio charting songs "Island Time," "Moonlight Samba," "Infinita," "Flight," and "Daybreak." Two new bonus tracks were recorded exclusively for this album: the contemporary jazz future hit "World of Wonder" (featuring the Billboard #1 jazz fusion group 3rd Force) and the classically-inspired, world-music composition "Prado" (featuring 2-time Grammy Award winning Danish violinist Mads Tolling).
One Voice: The Greatest Hits is a 2 disc greatest hits compilation album by Australian singer John Farnham. The album was released in Australia on 20 October 2003, and was accompanied by a DVD of music videos titled One Voice: The Greatest Clips. It was released to celebrate 35 years of John Farnham's career. This album and subsequent DVD were released by Sony BMG to celebrate 35 years of John Farnham's music being commercially available in Australia. The album reached #2 in the ARIA charts. John Farnham, billed as Johnny Farnham during 1964–1979, is an English born Australian pop singer who has released nineteen studio albums, three extended plays, nineteen compilation albums, six live albums, seventeen video albums, seventy-four singles, twenty-five music videos and twelve soundtracks.
Released a decade into Boyz II Men's enormously successful career and a year after another best-of collection, Ballad Collection, Legacy: The Greatest Hits Collection puts all the quartet's hits on one disc. Songs like "Motownphilly" and "End of the Road" were phenomenons during their reign atop the Billboard charts, and many of the other songs here were nearly as ubiquitous at various points in the '90s.
Toss a line into the vast ocean of budget-priced classic rock greatest-hits/ultimate/definitive collections, and you’re bound to snag a Bay City Rollers overview or two, but this 21-track compilation from Sony may be one of the better ones. Stocked with all ten of the sugary power pop group’s Top Ten hits, as well as 11 choice album cuts, this Greatest Hits collection is both simple and essential, resulting in the perfect introductory companion for those who have yet to “Give a Little Love” to these fine bubblegum Scotsmen.
The Greatest Hits, So Far mines the singles PiL released through 1990. Ten years after its release, it was doubtful that a second volume would surface (the '90s saw one lone studio release, not to mention a John Lydon "solo" record), so thankfully Lydon didn't embarrass himself by titling it "The Greatest Hits, Volume One."
