"Son of a Preacher Man" is a studio album by Nancy Wilson, released on Capitol Records in June 1969. It was produced by David Cavanaugh, with arrangements and conducting by Jimmy Jones, Phil Wright, and Joe Parnello. Like other Wilson albums from the same time period, it features a combination of vocal jazz, soul, blues, and popular music, but it also contains songs by country artists Hank Cochran, Roger Miller, and Bobby Russell. The album entered the Billboard 200 on July 5, 1969, peaking at #122. It achieved more success on Billboard's Hot R&B LPs, reaching #20 and staying on the chart for 23 weeks.

The Great American Songbook has many top-drawer interpreters, but Nancy Wilson is rarely spoken of in the same breath as Ella Fitzgerald or Dinah Washington or Frank Sinatra or Mel Tormé. The reason lies less with her talents, which are sizeable, and more with her orientation, which fits the show tunes concept of putting the song across with precise diction as well as emotion instead of the jazz vocal tradition of personalizing a song. There is a lot of music to wade through (more than twice as much as the other volumes in the series), but the compilers ably mix up the proceedings, balancing small-group performances that have a loose touch from all involved with large-band spectaculars featuring impeccable arrangements (often by masters of the form Billy May or Gerald Wilson).

How Does That Grab You? was the second studio album by the great Nancy Sinatra, originally released in 1966. Produced by Lee Hazlewood, with whom she would go on to collaborate closely, it was a sultry pop masterpiece featuring the hits ‘Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)’, the Hazlewood duet ‘Sand’ and ‘How Does That Grab You, Darlin’?’.

Cherry Smiles – The Rare Singles is a digital only compilation of singles and B-sides released by Nancy Sinatra for Reprise Records, RCA Records, Private Stock Records, Elektra Records from 1970 to 1980. Ten of the tracks were previously only available on 45 RPM singles, and two tracks were previously unavailable in any format. Cherry Smiles features contributions from Ry Cooder and Duane Eddy, as well as a duet with Lee Hazlewood. It was released September 22, 2009, by Sinatra's own company, Boots Enterprises.
