Digital media provide humans with more access to information than ever before-a computer, tablet, or smartphone can all be used to access data online and users frequently have more than one device. However, as humans continue to venture into the digital frontier, it remains to be known whether access to seemingly unlimited information is actually helping us learn and solve complex problems, or ultimately creating more difficulty and confusion for individuals and societies by offering content overload that is not always meaningful.

Frei nach Rammstein: Ich hör dich an und mir wird schlecht. Dies zumindest ist die erste Empfindung beim Einstieg in Till Lindemanns neues Soloalbum ZUNGE. Der vorne platzierte Titel-Track mutet – wenngleich bereits zuvor produziert – wie ein zynischer Kommentar der Vorwürfe aus diesem Jahr an („Doch kommt es vor, dass man sich irrt / Wenn Herz und Geist so sehr verwirrt“; „Ach mein Herz, das ist gebrochen / Doch es schlägt noch, steht nie still“; „So viele haben so viel geweint“; „Meine Zunge ist gefangen / und sie kann sich nicht befrei’n“). Von derartigen Gedanken muss man sich freimachen, um überhaupt in das Album eintauchen zu können.

Last Friday saw the release of Zunge, the third album in Till Lindemann's solo career that began in 2015, and the first under his own name (the previous two were released under the Lindemann project).

Sabry Mosbah, fils du célèbre chanteur et compositeur Slah Mosbah, est considéré comme l’un des leaders de la nouvelle scène tunisienne émergente. L’album Asly (« Mes racines ») nous plonge dans une ambiance presque mythique, conforme aux visions entachées d’exotisme qui se propagent encore par-delà les rivages méditerranéens. Le métissage est présent dans toutes les étapes de ce disque, depuis sa conception entre Paris, Tunis et Bruxelles, jusqu’à son essence même, qui mélange le rock avec diverses formes de musiques populaires tunisiennes. L’artiste aux influences multiples oscille délicatement entre les sonorités actuelles d’une guitare fretless et de grosses basses envoûtantes posées sur des rythmiques puissantes et profondes, propices à la transe.

Sabry Mosbah, son of the famous singer and composer Slah Mosbah, is considered one of the leaders of the new emerging Tunisian stage. The album Asly ("My Roots") plunges us into an atmosphere almost mythical, conforming to visions tainted with exoticism that still spread across the Mediterranean shores. Mixing is present in all stages of this disc, from its conception between Paris, Tunis and Brussels, to its very essence, which mixes rock with various forms of Tunisian popular music. The artist with multiple influences gently oscillates between the current sonorities of a fretless guitar and huge bewitching basses posed on powerful and deep rhythms, conducive to trance.

The original album was released to accompany the film (May 4, 1999). This release was certified Platinum in the U.S. and Gold in the UK, containing 17 tracks from selections of the score, meant to stand alone as a separate listening experience and not as one hears the score in the film. John Williams edited each track to present the score as one would hear it in a concert suite.
