Rush's career reached an important milestone in 2011 – the 30th anniversary of the release of the band's masterpiece, Moving Pictures. Its U.S. sales of more than four million copies shows that this is the album that even casual fans like. (Even those who don't "like" Rush tend to like "Tom Sawyer.") The Canadian trio celebrated the 1981 best-seller with the Time Machine tour, featuring a performance of the album in its entirety. Since their 1993 debut album, the Esbjörn Svensson Trio, or E.S.T., as it is usually called, have taken the jazz world by storm, winning numerous awards, playing sold-out world tours, topping the charts, and generally enjoying a popularity that's exceeded that of almost any other jazz group in years. The trio was also the first European jazz group to grace the cover of Down Beat magazine, which led to long discussions about the heritage of jazz and the validity of European jazz; and, naturally, it caused some listeners to perceive an artificial hype and discredit the band for simply not being as brilliant as everyone says they are. Creedence Clearwater Revival's music is still a staple of American and worldwide radio airplay. The band, led by front man and composer Tom Fogerty, has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993. The live DVD recordeed in Argentina features nearly all their hits such as: Born on the bayou, Who’ll stop the rain, Susie Q, Hey tonight, Long as I can see the light, I heard it through the grapevine, I put a spell on you, Have you ever seen the rain and many others.

The release of this album marks a poignant moment: the tenth anniversary of the tragic and premature death of Esbjorn Svensson on 14 June 2008. It was recorded at a completely sold-out Barbican Centre in 2005, during a hugely successful and highly popular UK tour. July of 2021 found John Patitucci on tour in Italy with Chris Potter on saxophones and Brian Blade on drums. Patitucci says, “The tour in 2021 in Italy was an incredible experience with my two dear friends, who happen to be some of the greatest musicians in the history of jazz music. The tour was organized by Alex Travi, who had the idea that we should bring someone to record live at some point during the tour. All the tracks, with the exception of Without a Song, were recorded in Genova, Italy on July 22, 2021. Without a Song was recorded on July 24, 2021 in Alba, Italy.”

Recorded in stereo by Radio France at La Esplanade de La Défense (July 17, 1983) and Le Petit Opportun (February 7, 1984). Both concerts are distinguished by the dazzling playing of the virtuosic pianist Michel Graillier, who performed regularly with Baker’s combos from 1977 until Baker’s death in 1988.
