During the 2010s, Sebastian Fagerlund focused on a series of orchestral compositions and concertos, making one single excursion into vocal music: the opera Höstsonaten (Autumn Sonata, 2017). One of his most important works, the opera has influenced his subsequent music, with an increase of long melodic lines alongside his signature rhythmic drive and energy.

Continuing their globalising musical quest into 2017, Nomade Orquestra return with their second album EntreMundos set for heavyweight vinyl, CD and digital release on 23rd June 2017. Recorded at Red Bull Studios, Sao Paulo, EntreMundos is like a cosmic musical playground where Ethio-jazz, Indian classical and Oriental sounds dance around Afro-Brazilian roots rhythms and Northern hemisphere jazz, funk, soul, library music and hip-hop influences. The sheer vastness of the album is astounding, Nomade Orquestra have quite literally conquered the world in sound.

10 years of live music, that's something to celebrate! In 2006, after having accompanied many artists, Ibrahim Maalouf decided to embark on a new adventure by releasing his first album Diasporas which he presented on stage for the first time that same year.

Some go deep, but still retain a certain degree of lightness, of sensual, joyful expression. "My music was created out of emotion and intuition," the singer, composer and band leader emphasized. The wonderfully poetic texts in turn speak of a lot of reflection, sometimes almost philosophical thinking and daring—even dreaming. Her pieces speak of longing for a home, of utopian places, of doubts, of an intense connection to nature. They are the results of a personal inner "odyssey" as she wrote: "a search for deeper connections, a pursuit of the beautiful and the cathartic in the search for finding one’s place in the world."

December 14, 2016 Ibrahim Maalouf performs for nearly 4 hours in Paris at an AccorHotels Arena sold out to celebrate his 10 years of touring. Surrounded by his historical group, a classical orchestra, a choir of nearly 100 children as well as a dozen surprise guests (-M-, Amadou & Mariam, Soprano, Tryo, LEJ, Hiba Tawaji …) he plays songs from his eight studio albums in front of more than 17,000 people. This is a unique show in the history of jazz that has marked the spirits for a long time and for which Ibrahim Maalouf receives the Victory of the Music of the Spectacle / Concert of the year 2017.

Bons composed Nomaden for Queyras and the Atlas Ensemble – a group he himself founded in 2002, made up of 18 eminent musicians from China, Japan, Central Asia, the Middle East and Europe. From the Japanese shakuhachi and Chinese erhu to the Armenian duduk and the Persian setar, the scoring offers an untold number of combinations and an unheard spectrum of timbres. Nomaden was premièred by these performers in 2016, under the baton of Ed Spanjaard, and has been awarded the prestigious 2019 Grawemeyer Award for Music Composition.
