"Hey Now Hey (The Other Side of the Sky)" is the 19th studio album by American singer-songwriter Aretha Franklin. Released on June 25, 1973, by Atlantic Records, It was the first Atlantic album by Aretha to miss the Top 25 of the main Billboard chart. (It peaked at #30 but reached #2 on the R&B albums listing.) This album was originally planned to be a straight jazz album with songs like "Moody's Mood" and "Just Right Tonight", but producers Franklin and Quincy Jones took a detour and produced songs like "Mister Spain" and the title cut. Notable songs include the #1 R&B and Top 20 pop single "Angel" written by Aretha's younger sister, Carolyn Franklin, as well as a cover of "Somewhere" which features Franklin on piano and Phil Woods on alto saxophone. This recording was reissued on compact disc through Rhino Records in the 1990s. The song "Master of Eyes" was included as the tenth track on the reissue. Even though it was a single, it was not included on the first release.

He played with Little Milton, Albert King and Buddy Guy before becoming trombonist and lead vocalist with the Chicago Playboys, the Windy City's premier R&B ensemble. Some years after the passing of former bandleader Johnny Christian, James and saxophonist Charles Kimball reformed and revitalized the band, turning it into a dynamic, soulful sextet that's turning heads and making new fans in Chicago and out on the road. RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW is a great introduction to the Playboys' unique blend of straight ahead blues and gospel-tinged, horn-driven soul.

"If My Friends Could See Me Now" is the 2nd studio album recorded by American singer Linda Clifford, released in 1978 on the Curtom label. The album peaked at #9 on the R&B albums chart. It also reached #22 on the Billboard 200. The album features a disco-styled cover version of the title track, which peaked at #68 on the Hot Soul Singles chart and #54 on the Billboard Hot 100. Another single, "Runaway Love", also charted at #3 on the Hot Soul Singles chart and #76 on the Billboard Hot 100. Both tracks, along with the track "Gypsy Lady" peaked at #1 on the Hot Dance/Disco chart.

Back to Now is the seventh and latest studio album by American R&B female group Labelle, released on October 21, 2008. The album is the group's first in over thirty years though they had sung on songs together on occasion. Sounding every bit as sassy, fresh and edgy as in their heyday, Patti, Nona and Sarah have brought together some of the powerhouse talents of today & yesterday to create a true event. The first single 'Rollout' prominently features Wyclef Jean on an upbeat contemporary anthem that will expose Labelle to a whole new audience. Lenny Kravitz plays all over the three tracks he produced combining unique R&B retro sounds with his natural rock edge. The Masters of Philly Soul Kenneth Gamble & Leon A. "Now, Then & Forever" is the 20th studio album by Earth, Wind & Fire, released on September 10, 2013, by Legacy Recordings, a division of Sony Music. This is the first Earth, Wind & Fire album without musical input from founder Maurice White, although he supplied liner notes. Larry Dunn, another founding member, joined the production team on this album lending his signature style as the keyboardist for several tracks. The first release from the album was "Guiding Lights" which premiered in 2012. In 2013, the second single "My Promise" was released. Band members say that this album is a return to the old Earth, Wind & Fire sound and formula while mixing in some new innovations as well.
