Das Leben Albrecht von Graefes war von großen Höhen und Tiefen geprägt, so dass es noch heute – 150 Jahre nach seinem Ableben – berührt. Sie betrachtet entlang der religiösen, politischen und bildungsbezogenen Prägung im Herkunftsland sowie entlang der Aufenthaltsdauer, der politischen Rechte, der familialen Situation und der religiösen Partizipation im Zielland, wer politisch aktiv wird und wer nicht. Ihre Analysen zu Wahlbeteiligung, protestorientierter und parteinaher Partizipation zeigen, dass diese Faktoren vielfältige Folgen für die politische Gleichheit zwischen Menschen mit und ohne Migrationshintergrund haben.

In Band 1des Buches explizieren die Autoren ihre didaktische Position und rekonstruieren zunächst die Zahlbegriffsentwicklung. Leitidee der Rekonstruktion ist die Beobachtung von Kognitionswissenschaftlern, dass schon Kleinkinder sich so verhalten, als verfügten sie über Theorien, die Phänomenbereiche ihrer Welt erklären. Die Entwicklung des mathematischen Wissens von Schülern wird daher als Entwicklung von Theorien rekonstruiert. Auf der formalen Ebene dient zur Rekonstruktion die strukturalistische Metatheorie. Weiterhin werden unterrichtsrelevante normative Problemstellungen rekonstruiert. Damit wird u. a. gezeigt, dass der Formalismus der strukturalistischen Metatheorie auch geeignet ist, normative Theorien darzustellen.

This major advance for research on solids earned him the Nobel Prize two years later, the ultimate acclaim as an exceptional theoretician. As an early supporter of Einstein’s relativity theory, he published fundamental papers on light scattering as well as on matter waves and superconductivity. Laue may be counted among the few persons of influence in Germany who – as Einstein put it – managed to “stay morally upright” under Nazism. It is thus surprising that this is the first extensive biography of this famous scientist.
