Once Upon A Time In A Battlefield (2003)

Murray A. Lightburn, the longtime frontman of Montreal’s acclaimed The Dears, will release his deeply personal new album ‘Once Upon A Time In Montreal’.

Once Upon A Time is the fourth studio album by Liverpool Express, released digitally and on CD via their official website. This is the first studio album since 1979, and features Roger Scott Craig, Billy Kinsley, Dave Goldberg and Kenny Parry. Eleven new songs are included, as well as a new version of "John George Ringo & Paul" - the band's creative tribute to The Beatles. The title song "Once Upon A Time" harks back to the beautiful hit "Every Man Must Have A Dream". "Sailin' Down to Rio" is the band's ode to Rio de Janeiro, a city they fell in love with during their South American tour in the late 70s. Ian Bairnson, the guitarist with The Alan Parsons Project and Pilot, makes a guest appearance, playing guitar on two tracks, "Once Upon a Time" and "Find My Way Back Home".

Patricia Vonne (née Rodriguez) is an American singer and actress. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Vonne moved to New York City in 1990-2001 to pursue her artistic ambitions. She worked extensively in Europe and America and was featured in the film Sin City as Dallas (aka Zorro Girl) & national/international commercials, and film work. She formed her own musical band, which performed on the New York circuit from 1998-2001. She then relocated to her native Texas where she currently tours extensively in the U.S., Mexico and Europe. She toured as a member of Tito & Tarantula, the band featured in the film From Dusk Till Dawn in 2002. Her song, "Traeme Paz", was featured in the film Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Her song "Mudpies and Gasoline" is featured in the Quentin Tarantino presented film Hell Ride. She is the sister of Angela Lanza, Marcel Rodriguez and Robert Rodriguez. This album features popular film music themes from "The Third Man" to "Chocolat", from "Casablanca" to "Time of the Gypsies". The list of composers includes film music icons such as Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, and Henry Mancini. German jazz trumpet-player Till Brönner appears as guest star on three tracks, including the title song.
