It topped the Billboard Pop Album Chart of a month, and spawned four hit singles, including “I Can’t Stop Loving” which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100, R&B, and the Adult Contemporary Charts, was nominated for Record Of The Year, and won the GRAMMY for Best Rhythm & Blues Recording at the 5th Annual Grammy Awards in 1963. “You Don’t Know Me” met with similar success. Ray Charles remains the first and only Black performer to earn a GRAMMY Award and a #1 Billboard Pop Chart Hit with a country and western song as he did with “l Can’t Stop Loving You.” Volume 2 followed its predecessor by just six months, and is widely regarded as just as strong, if not stronger than the first - the second made with the confidence that this formula or country & soul works. With three hit singles on both the R&B and Pop charts, including the #1 hit You Are My Sunshine, both volumes changed the course of popular music and remain a testament to the genius of Ray Charles.

The tenth studio album from Better Than Ezra, Super Magick arrives as a prime showcase for the distinct collision of elements that have made them so beloved over the years: the eternally sticky melodies, heart-on-sleeve storytelling and wildly clever turns of phrase, potent yet finely composed soundscapes embedded with so much ear candy. But in a creative leap typical of the sonically adventurous band—whose lineup also includes guitarist/keyboardist James Arthur Payne Jr. and drummer Michael Jerome Moore—the album finds Better Than Ezra’s exploring influences from an eclectic mix of genres (country, Britpop, dub, new-wave-leaning arena rock, to name just a few). Mainly produced by Griffin and Emery Dobyns (a producer/songwriter/engineer known for his work with Patti Smith, Lou Reed, and Antony and the Johnsons), Super Magick once again proves their passionate commitment to constant evolution in their artistry. “This album took a while, but we wanted to put the right energy into it,” says Griffin. “There’s this idea that most people who go to see veteran bands are there for the old songs, but for us putting out a new record is about adding to our canon of work and creating music that we’re excited to play.”

This unique album includes brand new songs along with some classics such as: ‘Nickel Song’, ‘Ruby Tuesday‘, ‘Brand New Key‘. The latter was performed in the style that Melanie had originally envisioned it to be. The pinnacle of this album is arguably the stunning version of the single “Cyclone” which segues into the classic “Candles in the Rain “. Of this album Melanie defiantly said, “I wasn’t making this album for the music industry, I was making it for me - this is who I am, this is what I do, and if you don’t like, too bad.” And the album sounds all the better for it, being as organic as you can get - a singer songwriter and an elite band of musicians doing what they do best…this album is one of the overlooked classics in the Melanie catalogue.

Underworld's unique brand of quirky electronica brought them to the fore in 1996 with their single 'Born Slippy. "NUXX" appearing in the soundtrack of Danny Boyle's Trainspotting. Their follow-up album "Beaucoup Fish" was their most highly anticipated release to date, a groove-heavy, genre-bending release that moves from techno anthems Cups and Sudder/King Of Snake to house-infused gems like Push Upstairs and Bruce Lee. The album was remastered and re-released in August 2017 with deluxe and super-deluxe expanded editions. This super deluxe edition includes a selection of rare and unreleased material from the extensive session and edits leading up to the release of the record in 1999.
