Alexis Korner passed away on January 1st, 1984, and June 5th of that year saw a small fraction of his friends and his band’s alumni pay homage to the godfather of British blues by staging a stellar performance in, of all places, Nottingham. Calling themselves ALEXIS LIGHT ORCHESTRA and led by Jimmy Page, the supergroup also featured such luminaries as Jack Bruce, Charlie Watts and Paul Jones whose mix of rhythm-and-blues and rock numbers was recorded for radio broadcast and well-bootlegged, yet never officially released.

Jimmy Page and Robert Plant shocked fans when they reunited for MTV's Unledded special in October 1994 — and sent them into a state of bliss when they decided to take their renewed partnership on the road for a lengthy world tour, starting Feb. 26, 1995, in Pensacola, Fla. As they'd made clear by dissolving the band after drummer John Bonham's death in 1980, Page and Plant weren't interested in suggesting a Led Zeppelin reunion, and they drew a further line between their new project and the past by neglecting to invite former Zep bassist John Paul Jones. Still, for those who'd been hoping for updated yet still recognizable takes on Zeppelin classics, the 1995 tour's configuration — featuring a six-piece rock band, 29 British classical string players and 11 Egyptian folk musicians — still had to come as something of a surprise.

This is the first project in a seven-volume series exploring the ‘Sturm und Drang’ movement, which swept through all art forms in the between the early 1760s and 1780s. The purpose of this movement were to frighten and perturb through the use of wild and subjective emotional means of expression.

Martin Page English musician Martin Page had a U.S. dance hit as frontman of techno-pop group Q-Feel with 1982's "Dancing in Heaven" before finding international success as a songwriter. After helping to send acts like Starship and Heart to the top of the singles chart, he went on to hit the U.S. Top 20 as a solo artist in the mid-'90s. A native of Southampton, Page grew up on military bases due to his father's work. He split much of his time outside of school between soccer and music, listening to live performances and learning to play bass guitar. He spent some time as a session musician before forming Q-Feel with co-songwriter/guitarist Brian Fairweather, keyboardist Chris Richardson, and drummer Trevor Thornton. The band hit number 18 on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart with "Dancing in Heaven" from their only album, Q-Feel, released on Jive in 1982.
