Logan Lucky is the new comedy film from director Steven Soderbergh (Magic Mike, Ocean’s Trilogy) starring an ensemble cast featuring Channing Tatum (Magic Mike), Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Daniel Craig (Spectre). The film follows a close group of working class siblings and their friends who set out to execute an elaborate robbery during the beloved Coca-Cola 600 race during Memorial Day Weekend. Logan Lucky is being released by Bleecker Street and Fingerprint Releasing on August 18, 2017. The soundtrack to Logan Lucky is comprised of classics from artists such as Creedance Clearwater Revival, Bo Diddley and John Fahey. The film is highly musical with several sequences playing long takes of songs and tracks playing every couple of minutes throughout the movie. John Denver’s music even features in the story itself. A selection of score tracks composed by Soderbergh’s frequent collaborator David Holmes (Ocean’s Trilogy) are also included on the soundtrack album.

Marco Beltrami is known for finding a unique approach to scoring in each of his films. For the film “Scream”, he threw away conventional horror music clichés and instead called upon his concert music roots to explore a new sonic landscape. For “The Homesman” Beltrami constructed his own instruments that would meld the archaic and new. The creations were as tiny as a refitted lap steel guitar to giant, cross-ranch cables that could pick up wind and translate it into a haunting glow. Subsequently, his resume has expanded to include films ranging from epic drama to dark comedy. Beltrami has been nominated twice for Academy Awards for Best Score, “3:10 to Yuma” (2007) and “The Hurt Locker” (2008). His most recent works include “Fantastic Four”, “Ben Hur”, “Hellboy” and “Scream 2”.

A band that only released an album and a single on the PDU label, along with Cincinnato this was one of the very few rock and prog releases by a label not so interested in these musical styles.
The trio composed by singer Donatella Luttazzi and guitarists Mereu and Ventura was formed in Rome in 1970, and under the name Genesi was signed to RCA subsidiary Delta, that gave them the chance to record some tracks for an album.
The three musicians were helped by bass player Claudio Barbera along with some experienced Scottish sessionmen who were then living in Rome, singer Alex Ligertwood (from Camel), keyboardist Mike Fraser and drummer Derek Wilson…
