Perfume Genius (Mike Hadreas) with his new album, Ugly Season, and announced via a clip by artist and director Jacolby Satterwhite. The clip is taken from a short film featuring Hadreas and music from Ugly Season that is a visual companion to the project. Satterwhite is known for his immersive multidisciplinary technique that fuses live video, 3-D animation, drawing and print-making. His work has appeared at MoMa, The Smithsonian, The Whitney and the Studio Museum of Harlem.

Perfume Genius is the stage name for Seattle-based artist Mike Hadreas. This fourth full-length release for the indie singer-songwriter features 13 new ferocious and sophisticated tracks. Mike Hadreas and his collaborators blow through church music, makeout music, an array of the gothier radio popular formats, rhythm and blues, art pop, krautrock, queer soul, the RCA Studio B sound, and then also collect some of the sounds that only exist inside Freddy Krueger. "No Shape" was produced by Blake Mills, the man behind Alabama Shakes' Grammy Award winning album. He added precision and expansion.

"Genius Loves Company" is a 2004 album by Ray Charles, consisting of duets between Charles and musicians. The contributing artists were personally chosen by Ray Charles. It was the last album he completed before his death. It debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. At the Grammys on February 13, 2005, it won eight awards, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for the song "Here We Go Again".
