A welcome addition of music from Spain to the Leo Records catalogue, This is original and powerful music with balls (pardon, Lucia), free jazz with tunes you can sing by the three outstanding improvisers of the emerging Spanish new jazz scene. Spontaneous, daring and sincere music, Juan Saiz and Baldo Martínez featured in the Leo Records catalogue before. Out of nine compositions, four belong to Saiz, three to Baldo, and two to Lucia (you see, no discrimination).

I have often wondered what kind of music would Johann-Sebastian Bach compose if he were alive today and, in this case, what would he write for a such a versatile instrument as the baritone saxophone. Would he create works influenced by traditional music or, on the other hand, he would experience in the rich sound palette of this instrument? As we never know the answer, I thought that the best way to have an idea would be to play his music together with other works of current styles.

The album WAVES is a Ukrainian progressive modern jazz music by a well known, prolific composer, arranger and pianist Nataliya Lebedeva. Lyrics for the compositions were created by the soloist of the project, the famous singer and composer Laura Marti. These songs make a great set together, as they cover a wide range of different kinds of grooves and polyrhythms. Challenging, inventive mood shifts and the dynamic musical dramaturgy intrigue and create a special atmosphere for the listeners.
