When it comes to Atlanta rap, there is no doubt about it that Gucci Mane is one of the best to ever do it. Young Alan Parrish (Adam Hann-Byrd) discovered the ornate Jumanji board in 1969, when he was just twelve. When he sits down to play it for the first time with his reluctant friend Sarah (Laura Bell-Bundy), strange things immediately begin to happen. After Alan rolls a certain number on the dice, he is transported into the jungle realm of Jumanji, disappearing before Sarah's startled eyes. Because Sarah is too frightened to finish the game, Alan remains trapped in the rainforests of Jumanji for 26 years until two new children, Judy (Kirsten Dunst) and Peter (Bradley Pierce), sit down to play the game in the attic of Alan's childhood home.

The series is a family saga which centers around the eponymous character Buddy Longway, a trapper who lives in the wilderness. He lives as a partner of a Sioux Native American woman called Chinook. In the course of the series, they have two children, Jeremy and Kathleen. Main topics of the series, which is set in the 19th century, are living in the wilderness, interracial relationships,[2] Native American culture, coming of age (Jeremy and Kathleen) and age (Buddy Longway).

Jumanji is a visually elaborate fantasy about an enchanted board game that opens a magical portal to a jungle universe. Two young children, Judy (Kirsten Dunst) and Peter (Bradley Pierce), discover the game in an abandoned home and suddenly are greeted by Alan (Robin Williams), an adult who has spent his life trapped inside the game since playing it at age 12. Alan's only hope for freedom involves finishing the game, but this proves rather dangerous, as Judy, Peter, and Alan find themselves running for their lives from huge rhinoceroses, evil monkeys, vicious lions, and other terrifying jungle beasts. Director Joe Johnston, whose special-effects background previously came to good use in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, used groundbreaking computer imagery to simulate the thrills.
