Il bambino non è, come voleva Rousseau, un semplice homunculus, ovvero un uomo in miniatura non ancora completo, bensì un essere sui generis, il cui sviluppo affettivo e cognitivo passa attraverso fasi differenziate e obbedisce a leggi proprie. È questo l’assunto fondamentale da cui parte Jean Piaget e che segna la sua intera opera: la differenza qualitativa tra il pensiero adulto e quello infantile. Così, quelle nozioni e rappresentazioni che all’adulto possono apparire come il risultato di una lettura immediata della realtà, sono invece il prodotto di una progressiva coordinazione di dati o attività più elementari da parte del bambino: sono insomma l’esito di un processo di «costruzione», irriducibile alle leggi della natura fisica e biologica. L’introduzione di queste metodologie specifiche sono la sfida e il principale contributo di Jean Piaget alla conoscenza scientifica.

In quinta elementare il piccolo Stefanos legge in un libro una frase che lo colpisce molto: «La maggior parte delle persone si limita a vedere. Solo pochissimi osservano». The former vocalist with Warlock has had a 20 year plus career and these albums represent some of her finest works – presented for the first time in one set this collection is a great starting point for the casual and fervent fan of this brand of Teutonic Heavy Metal. All the albums have been re-mastered and the box contains a booklet with notes by Classic Rock’s Malcolm Dome.

German heavy metal/hard rock vocalist Doro is best known for her years with the power metal band Warlock, but she has had a long solo career and continues to command a loyal following (especially in Europe) long after the group's demise. After releasing four albums with Warlock in the 1980s, Doro set out on her own, touring and recording under her first name. She released Force Majeure in 1989, dialing back the gothic fantasy metal of Warlock, Doro adopted a more pop-metal/hard rock sound, which she would continue to hone well into the next century.
