In 1999, the US broadcast commission (FCC) decided absurdly enough that a pro-women empowerment record (Your Revolution featuring Sarah Jones) was too ‘crude’ for radio whilst allowing countless records that promote negativity to go. The decision ended up in court several years later under appeal with several leading Ivy league English professors coming to the defense of freedom of speech, freedom of expression and to argue the double standards of the ban and fine.

For No One In Particular is a 2003 free jazz album by Billy Martin, Grant Calvin Weston and DJ Logic. Martin is 1/3 of jazz trio Medeski, Martin & Wood, Weston is known for his work with James Blood Ulmer and has done collaborations with Martin, and DJ Logic was a member of Eye & I before becoming an unofficial 4th member of Medeski, Martin & Wood when they were signed to Blue Note. This album combines jazz with free form turntablism.

Live at the Olympic: The Last DJ is a live DVD by American musician rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, first released in September 2003. The film features the band's 2002 album The Last DJ performed in its entirety. Also featured are several of the band's other songs, and "You Wreck Me" from Petty's 1994 solo album Wildflowers. It was directed by Martyn Atkins.
