The Very Best of the Human League is a DVD by veteran British Synthpop group The Human League, containing most of the band’s music videos recorded up to that point, digitally re-mastered. The only music video missing is Filling up with Heaven from 1995 which was excluded due to a licensing fee dispute between Virgin Records and EastWest. The DVD also contains as bonus material 4 notable appearances on UK BBC 1 flagship music program Top of the Pops and two songs from a live set performed on BBC 2 program Later with Jools Holland in 1995.

This special set includes two-disc compilation album The Very Best Of Eagles and DVD - Farewell 1 Tour: Live From Melbourne, released on one disc. The Very Best Of (released as The Complete Greatest Hits in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand) is a two-disc compilation album by the Eagles, released in 2003. This album combines all tracks that appeared on the two previously released Eagles greatest hits albums (Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975) & Eagles Greatest Hits, Vol. 2), along with other singles not included on the first two compilations, album tracks and the new track "Hole in the World". Farewell 1 Tour - Live from Melbourne is a double DVD by Eagles, released in 2005. It was filmed in Melbourne, Australia at the Rod Laver Arena on the 14, 15 and 17 of November 2004, in the same name tour, featuring two new songs. It is the second record featuring the Eagles as quartet (without Don Felder) but it did feature a horn section.

The 1990 collection The Very Best of Elton John (available in the U.K. and Australia) is an excellent 30-track summary of his peak years, running from "Your Song" to "You Gotta Love Someone." In a sense, it's the concise counterpart to the box set To Be Continued, released that same year but spanning four discs and filled with rarities…

As a songwriter, he pioneered several different schools of pop songwriting, from confessional singer/songwriter to winding, hallucinatory, stream-of-consciousness narratives. As a vocalist, he broke down the notion that a singer must have a conventionally good voice in order to perform, thereby redefining the vocalist's role in popular music.

Ray Stevens' rock & roll recordings have been poorly represented on CD, making this reissue of an 11-song, greatest-hits LP from 1970 particularly noteworthy. Stevens is associated with country music but didn't have a country hit until 1969; before that, his early rock and novelty recordings gave him several pop hits including the Top Five "Ahab the Arab."

Released for Christmas 2003, this collection of John Lennon's solo songs was prepared – with the substantial involvement of Yoko Ono – expressly for DVD. ..
