The Magician's Birthday is the fifth album by British rock band Uriah Heep, released in 1972 by Bronze Records in the UK and Mercury Records in the US. The concept was "based loosely on a short story" written by Ken Hensley in June and July 1972. In a retrospective review, Sputnikmusic praised The Magician's Birthday, saying, "Though probably not as cohesive as it could be, it still offers plenty of highlights, earning its place among Heep's finest albums". Reviewer Daniel Dias singled out "Sunrise", noting that it was "a highlight in Heep's catalog and one of the band's finest progressive rock ballads".

Recorded in Liverpool, England on July 19 2003, the concert was notable as it featured Eric Clapton as a guest, so marked the first time he and Mayall had performed together in almost 40 years. This show was done a few weeks after he released "When Doves Cry" as a single, a preview of what was to come on Purple Rain.

Happy Birthday is a 1996 bootleg CD by Prince & The Revolution. An excellent soundboard recording, it was recorded at Cobo Hall in Detroit, Michigan on 7 June, 1986 on Prince's 28th birthday. He was on tour in support of his album Parade, which was the soundtrack to his second film, Under The Cherry Moon. The mood here is a bit more loose than his solid shows, complete with him going earlier to perform his first hit song, "I Wanna Be Your Lover". This was released by the Moonraker label.
