Project Pablo Napoletana

Pablo’s Eye started working as a collective in 1989, a flexible project in which additional members were always welcome to participate. Making music was important but sharing the same artistic attitude was the main focus. Their wish was to remain simple and open by mixing different musical forms, cultures, and ideas. Their common goal has always been to create a feeling of travelling in time and space, by going from past memories to future hopes. Their aim remains to express the ideal and explore the real through both personal and global stories…

Jazz / Post Bop / Flamenco / Chamber / Classical

Flamenco is no longer limited to cante, guitar and baile. Instrumental offers are making their way. And with them, encounters between genres and diverse musical trends. Camerata Flamenco Project joins this fourth way with ‘Entre corrientes’, an album on which three instruments meet — piano, cello and flute; as well as three genres — flamenco, classical and jazz. Pablo Suárez, José Luis López and Ramiro Obedman are the soul of this group which, although it has started off as a trio, has the flexibility to “end up becoming a symphony orchestra”. But for the time being, on stages the project is growing with double bass, percussion, Antonio Campos’ cante and Concha Jareño’s baile.

Jazz, flamenco, classical music and tango come together in this musical proposal created in 2004 by the cellist Jose Luis Lopez, saxophonist and flute player Ramiro Obedman and the piansita Pablo Suarez, who made his debut at the Singapore Arts Festival. And since then they have made multiple tours and edited three albums in their name.
