This album is a reflection of two years of touring all over the world, an exploration of the realm of dreams and a unique impressionist journey. Stephane’s seventh studio album takes you on a musical journey through image provoking compositions inspired by the band’s own worldwide experiences. You will experience a shamanic vision of the desert, the USA, Asia, Africa and Europe. You will be taken into the world of dreams of Castaneda, in the caves of Lascaux, or travel through space.

The fifth long-player from the brooding and cavernous Pacific Northwest-based metal outfit, The Serpent & the Sphere, the first set of new material from the group since 2010's critically acclaimed The Marrow of the Spirit, opens with the epic "Birth and Death of the Pillars of Creation," a ten-minute slab of churning, slow-burn black folk-metal that rolls in like the thickest fog ever and decimates everything that it comes in contact with, a metaphor that applies to the remaining eight songs as well. The album was produced and engineered by hard rock legend Billy Anderson and released via Profound Lore Records.

This new recording (recorded in 2012) brings together two great, but altogether different 20th century Cello Sonatas from Russia: the gorgeous and deeply romantic cello sonata by Rachmaninoff, of near‐symphonic proportions, and the cello sonata by Prokofiev, a hybrid piece of his later period, a fascinating mixture of the romantic, the grotesque and the introspective side of the multi-faceted composer..
